He speaks of those 5k double diamond slots at the Wynn in Vegas. Last time we were there we looked inside the small room where they are. IIRC they had gold like seats. Also 2500k DD as well. And yes $ had been played on them. We did not see anyone playing the time we were there. Must of been at the buffet eating on their comps.

    "and diabetes. and bladder cancer."

It's coming, just a question of when.

Daly is 60 years old. In a large population, there's always some outliers of those who defy the odds, and live much longer than expected based on their unhealthy lifestyle. I could name many celebrities who lived a similar lifestyle to Daly, and kicked-off in their twenties or thirties.

You mentioned bladder cancer which many don't think about. One thought that keeps me focused towards healthy diet, lifestyle, etc, is the vision of surviving bladder cancer, but having to wear a urostomy bag the rest of my life. Yes there are worse things than that, but why take the chance is my viewpoint.

I'm surprised the one casino took it out, as I think Daly mentioned. Even though of course they don't get many players on it. However I would think it would be like a tourist attraction of sorts. Folks come into the casino just to see it, and then stay and lose some money.

Vegas has been doing a lot of things wrong these days compared to the past. I saw a video on Youtube about the declining number of patrons. One couple interviewed stated they will never go back. They got charged $19 for a plastic bottle of water, and that wasn't the only rip-off they mentioned.

USA playing Australia later today at 3:00

I'm not saying the USA team can't win, I have no opinion either way. But I'd have to think that it will be over bet for a number of reasons, and probably not a good value.

I may take a flyer on this game and play Australia. I normally prefer to find value in favorites. However Australia +400 seems pretty good to me. Interesting that the draw is "only" +350. Might play both or might play neither. Still thinking about it and plan on meeting at 2:30 today with my distinguished team of highly skilled handicappers to discuss this important matter further.

    Just googled AI on this:

"Golfer John Daly’s recent health issues include surviving bladder cancer (now in remission) and undergoing numerous procedures, including an emergency hand surgery. He has openly acknowledged that his persistent physical setbacks and 16 surgeries over a four-year span have taken a heavy toll on his competitive golf career."

I didn't realize in a previous post, that he already had bladder cancer.

Fat 50% profit boost on the USA-Australia game, so I gotta play something. I still think Australia is the better value. However with the boost, playing USA is also a good value.

Australia supposedly has an excellent defense, and USA has a key player out for this game. That being said, I may be underestimating the momentum this USA team seems to have on their home country field. So I played USA and hope they figure out a way to get thru this Australia defense. A tie wouldn't surprise me. If it happens then it happens. 🤷‍♂️

I've heard of it, but never attempted to use it or find out what it is. I'm fine with my emails and iphone text.

I think some of this chit, not sure what, is for video game players which is fine, it's big business and very popular. But other than free to play online poker, which I kinda don't think of that as a video game, I'm not into the killing monsters thing, racing cars, and all that fast paced video game jazz. Nothing wrong with it, just not my cup of tea.

I'll "tail" anybody or anything that might lead me to a winner. That being said, depending on the circumstances, I always analyze the situation, and then decide to wager or not. Whether it's here, the stock market, collectible investments, business endeavors, or whatever.

Sometimes I win, sometimes I lose. But I never blame the original source of information for a loss. It's all on me when I lay the money down.

i read you. i've sung his praises many times in the past, but even i didn't know just how solid his results were at the US Open. again, 9-for-9 in top 20s in his career. and that is not a tournament you can fake your way around. if you don't have your A game, you'll get punished.......quick. he's made for this tournament. it was just a matter of galaxy27 not putting the ultimate hex on him. for a while there yesterday, i thought i had done just that.

On Sunday, Spain seems like a mortal lock against Saudi Arabia.

Haven't played any props yet in soccer. I'm not even sure what odds they pay? But I may look at a few Spain props if the book isn't trying to grab too much juice. Wouldn't be surprised if the lead scorer from Spain has at least one, and maybe two goals in this game.

  • Options
    stevekstevek Posts: 32,308 ✭✭✭✭✭

    Anytime Goalscorer:

    Mikel Oyarzabal -145
    Lamine Yamal -120
    Ferran Torres -105
    Nico Williams +120
    Dani Olmo +135
    Mikel Merino +150

Yikes - certainly not enthralled with these odds. Seems like the book is trying to grab around 25% to 35% juice on this chit.

  • Options
    stevekstevek Posts: 32,308 ✭✭✭✭✭

Interesting the book doesn't even offer a shots prop for Spain until 13, and then the odds are -10000

First shots prop on Saudi Arabia is 5, at -475

    stevekstevek Posts: 32,308 ✭✭✭✭✭

The props I'm not sure yet. Just absolute brutal juice on all of it from what I see.
