Has anyone bothered to update their ebay coin listings w/the new condition requirement ?

I don't have a day to waste taking on the challenge.
I'll see if they cancel the listings as they come up for renewal. If they do, I'll update then and relist.
At least that may make it a manageable task.......
Ebay always gas a better idea...... ;)

It's not that hard. Just select them all by grade (fine and under, for example) and hit edit. . Then you can change the item specifocs for all of them at once: circulated, uncertified, fine and lower. Takes no time at all. I did 100 of them in 2 minutes.

If it would help, I'll provide screenshots.

I updated my listings a couple weeks ago. I dont have that many listings and it didn’t take long. I did them one at a time but was still fast.
My only complaint is not with eBay as much as my website host. I list items through my website so inventory is managed together and the listing tool doesn’t yet have this option. So I have to list the item then go to eBay and add it. It’s a bit annoying. I’m sure they will get it soon and it will be a non issue for me.

    That's a great tip !

I just tried listing a graded coin and it asked me if this card was professionally graded. It provided no options in the drop down menu and I couldn't bypass it to proceed. I double checked category and this wasn't something I messed up.

I really hope GameStop buys this garbage company and turns it around. It has been - and always will be - a complete disaster. No wonder all the board members keep selling.

eBay isn't just coins, but it's probably the largest platform for buying and selling coins in the world. The company seems to be doing quite well.

Did you hit "continue without match"? Worked fine for me.

A local coin club member did a lot on ebay, primarily autographed books and just plain autographs. He was trying to get a negative removed on his account. So he wrote John Donahoe a letter about being retired, being "a friend of Bill W" and doing this to keep himself un-busy and being troubled by the negative. Donahoe removed the negative for him writing back that he too was a friend of Bill W.. Those days are long gone..

    @jmlanzaf

Unfortunately still broken on the app on my end. I tried choosing something similar to just edit and it did the same thing. Tried to update but nothing. Ugh.

I started out trying to see if I could do a group edit but I realized having to read/scroll through all my listings four times to select the items for each grade level to edit wouldn't be much quicker than just going down the list and editing them individually. I ended up opening a separate window and editing a bunch until I got bored then came back to it later until I was finished.

I'm glad that's over and hope eBay doesn't come up with anymore 'improvements' like that.

I barely read the notice. I assumed they applied to raw coins. Mine are all slabbed with the TPG, grade, and cert in the listing. If that's not good enough for eBay, they can KMA. My store can close in a heartbeat.

several of mine updated on their own although I'm slowly updating those that haven't.

Paper money eventually returns to its intrinsic value. Zero. Voltaire. Ebay coinbowlllc

From an earlier email received from eBay:

Once enforcement begins, listings missing required condition details may be:

    Blocked from being created
    Hidden from buyers
Unable to be revised or relisted

Important: In some cases, eBay may assign a condition to an item to help streamline the transition and reduce customer friction. As the seller, you must confirm any assigned conditions to your listed items.

    FWIW...

I try not to bias listings with grade levels which could make for a dispute or an "item not as described" claim. Most of the major coin sellers in my state, such as Guilford Coin (father-time-coin), etc. do not give a grade description.
