Which Precious Metal Is the Best Investment: Gold, Silver, Platinum, or Palladium?

    gold is a good inflation hedge. Silver is volatile but the best current bargain.

    For investment purposes you might consider ETFs, easier to buy and sell if you have an investment account (Robinhood?).

    derryb sums it up pretty well as I see it. Only thing I would add is stick to the gold and silver, and be more wary of the ones like platinum or palladium (they may see gains, but likely not as wide a market, and larger premiums, etc).

    I believe having some gold and silver is great…as a hedge. For an investment…not so much.

    This morning gold is down, and silver is up. You don't see that very often as usually they sort of go the same direction, but with different percentages.

    I lean towards gold and silver too, mainly because they're well-known and easy to trade. ETFs are my go-to for convenience without the hassle of storing physical metals.
