Well got to give NY credit, they were legit.

Sorry @galaxy27 sucks to have your team lose in the championship but they should be back

better team won, period. the Knicks were phenomenal. not just tonight, not just for the series, but for the entire playoffs. 16-3! no deficit was ever too much for them. when they went down 16 early on and carved into it in the 2nd quarter, it was a movie i had seen multiple times before. i could see what the ending looked like a couple of hours before it happened.

the Spurs overachieved this season. i said this before -- ahead of schedule. when every game of that series started, they played loose. there was no reason for the moment to get to them -- yet. but once NY pushed hard, the Spurs looked like they had never been there before and didn't know what to do to stop it. that series will be invaluable experience moving forward.

if i accurately described the play of De'Aaron Fox & Stephon Castle tonight, i'd get kicked off these boards. those two guys made me want to throw up my dinner. 4 for 25 between the two of them.

conversely, if you look at Jalen Brunson, he doesn't look like he would be good at any sport, let alone basketball. but looks can be deceiving. the guy deserves two MVP trophies. he looked like Jordan out there tonight -- scoring at will and he knew no one could guard him.

Condolences to @galaxy27 on your team loss.
Hope the team remembers this defeat especially the part where the end came on their own court. Should give them some extra drive going forward.

    The O/U was 14.5

I actually sweated it out a bit since they scored 12 by the 7th inning

My buddy bet heavy on the over, I thought it was a terrible bet, I stayed out of the conversation and snuck in the under bet.

When I first saw your post, I looked at the box score and figured you played it live. But then saw the O/U today and it's 14. I don't recall ever seeing O/U's this high pre-game.

Australia is out-matched by the US team and they will likely come out like Paraguay did in a 4-4-2 and try to frustrate a team that plays historically bad midfield.... but that's where Poch played to their weaknesses by only bringing 4 midfielders. Australia is going to look to keep the score low, but I'm impressed with our team's ability to unlock their strikers with through balls.

The weakness of the US team is their defense and that was a big win and sets them up to get out of group play, which is really cool. But keep that in mind for your bets and watch their positioning against Australia on defense and how many times they allow leaks on the backside.

This bet lost by 18 runs. I just received an additional penalty charge of $10 on the bet. The explanation by the book was they have a policy whereby when you are such a pathetically bad handicapper to lose a bet by this margin, you not only lose the $10 you bet, but an additional fee of $10, double the bet. 😐

I plan on buying a VG condition card of him. If no creases when I buy it then I will add a few, and send it to him, asking for his autograph. After receiving it back, I'll list it on Ebay, one cent, buy it now, free shipping. 😒

Seems like you've become more disciplined since coming off your vacation. That's the way to do it. Frankly it's the only way, if it can be done, to win at sports betting.

The gamblers who bet like chickens without heads, are going to get skinned, and it usually happens sooner rather than later.

Bankroll still on an upward trend, even though I got badly clipped on that last Spurs game ML bet. Still not entirely unhissed about it yet, as I really liked that bet. But as we all know what Doyle once said, it's not about winning or losing, it's about making the right decisions.

I still think I made the right decision with a max-bet on that Spurs ML. Brunson scoring 45 points, it's just an anomaly from a player whose season average was 26 points. Of course those anomalies are what makes sports betting so tough. Sometimes it goes against ya, sometimes with ya. Hopefully making the right decisions, if you believe the odds are in your favor when placing a bet, then hopefully ya make some extra coin in the long run.

Soccer is not my sport but a buddy in my group betting text chain knows it pretty good, I don't mind throwing a few bets in here and there while the cup is going, mind you it's straight dart throw action, I've never watched a single minute of soccer

Not my sport either. But I think I can see why the betting is popular. As I think some of the same sort of angles used in handicapping football, could be used in soccer.

I may give it a go on a few games during the cup.

MLB very tough. Just when I hit some games, and think I'm getting the hang of it, whatever I did that I thought was working, stops working.

Started the MLB season 4-0 and thought maybe I've now got a license to print money. But it didn't continue.

I probably should do this, but I don't keep track of how I'm doing with each sport. My main focus is on the balance, which it should be. But I think I'm right around even for the MLB season thus far. However being even isn't acceptable to me.

I'll keep trying, hopefully learning from mistakes and finding angles that perhaps I didn't see before that can work, particularly on live betting. I do think I "discovered" one very solid angle, involving live betting, but long story short, it requires a lot of work. I literally would have to follow every inning of every game to find a play, and of course nothing is guaranteed. Don't know if I have that sort of energy or not?

Sort of like the WSOP. I know basically every angle there is to know in poker. I think I would do well at the WSOP main event, if I had the energy. I've never used amphetamines and never will, and I think those who go deep in that tourney, likely every one of them is popping pills to stay alert. As we all know in poker, one lapse of judgment from being exhausted, and you could go from a winning stack to getting felted in seconds.

I think that there's a stat that a favorite has never won the World Cup... and that doesn't bode well for Spain. My youngest's absolute favorite player is Yamal... who is a little dinged. He was able to come on and create a couple chances... if he's less than 100 I gotta pick France... they don't need possession that's how explosive they are.

Cape Verde's Shocking Tie With Spain Cost Polymarket Bettor $1 Million

An online sports bettor who wagered $1 million that Spain would beat Cape Verde in the island nation's first-ever World Cup match—a bet with 92% odds when it was placed—is out the massive sum after Cape Verde managed a shocking draw Monday.

Another Polymarket bettor is having a much different day. A bettor with the username "fishalive" bet $400,000 that Spain wouldn’t win—and cashed out at $4.7 million.

Betting Spain wouldn't win means he either bet Cape Verde or a draw

Either way that's a massive win, he either had someone in the know or has stupid money to throw around like pennies because Spain was a massive favorite

I just viewed the stats. Spain had 7 shots on goal, and couldn't get one in, as a heavy favorite.

Now there's an example of rotten luck. When all ya need was one stinkin' shot to go in for the win.

Cape Verde only had one shot on goal.

Spain might be a good odds value in their next match. A rebound game after being embarrassed by a tiny country with a population, pasted, of only 529,630 - ranked 175th globally.

So I wanted to check the odds on the LPGA KMPG championship which is next weekend and is a major. Nelly is not playing this weekend which gives her 2 weeks off in a row. She has won the first two majors this year. Of course two weeks off means either well rested and rusty or well rested and sharp as a tack.
I found these odds for the KMPG…. These are to win don’t know about top 10 or 20

Received this decent boost which I'm forced to play on the US Open.
Top X finish which I guess means 5th, 10th, or 20th, my choice?

Just caught the Dodgers with a fat 50% profit boost. The one game I played on Monday. Very happy about that.

Dam - I'm getting swamped with profit boosts, and I don't even bet that much. One just popped on my screen, 50% profit boost on a World Cup event, but it expires in 23 hours. So I gotta play something on Tuesday.

No doubt in my mind they're being so "nice" with the heroin goodies because Polymarket and Kalshi are obviously hurting them.
