I would actually think it would be easier for women to put the ball through the hoop since the basketball is smaller. But basebal21 has told me the opposing team keeps putting this woman in the game to guard Clark and she’s a really tough defender.
Basebal21 also left out she sucks on defense and she keeps her teammates hanging when they try to high five her because of her ongoing surly demeanor. One thing she does really well is whine and argue with refs and her coaches.
The internet keeps using words like spoiled and entitled to describe her on court behavior.
Wie also tried to play against men which every one knew wasnt going to go well. Lots of injuries then started a family. Winning 5 tournaments and a major championship. After the PGA thing people were kind of over it. Its not a bad comparison injury wise and given they both had unrealistic expectations. Both were/are very good players at the very least
And really, a lot her 3 point shots are way above the arc - the farther away - the less you're accuracy should be..........
And also - she has to put up with this crap too............
The WNBA is literally the dumbest leagues. A bunch of players hate her, the refs who are terrible anyways hate her, the league office hates her, the owners of her own team wont even stand up for her and its not a secret why. She really should just sit out a season or two and watch their ratings, money, ticket sales etc drop.

It's a bad look for women's sports and depicts women as far, far more vindictive then men. I'm stuck with the thought that Clark must have done something when she came into the league to infuriate the other players, maybe her attitude or demeanor. Perhaps this is her comeuppance, but I haven't followed things much at all.

About the video posted --- it looks really bad slowed down as it is, in reality the whole incident took perhaps one-half-second, start to finish, and the "step over" happened in the flow of play right under the basket. Thomas really did nothing wrong in getting back into play.
Interesting snippet off Fox News about Alyssa Thomas:
If Thomas wasn't in the WNBA, she says she would go pro in combat sports.
In a 2019 interview with Nike PLAYlist, Thomas answered what sport she would have gone pro in if she didn't go pro in basketball. "Either boxing or MMA," Thomas said.

False sense of toughness. Everyone thinks its a cool fall back idea until their getting pounded in the face or their arm about to be ripped off. The MMA girls especially the UFC ones would eat her alive as most of them have trained their whole lives for it

Yeah imagine that. Now you will explain how Clark gets treated a lot worse than MJ ever did.

FIX News(and probably others) are now reporting it as a “throat punch” which it clearly wasn’t. Pure BS.
You must be the founder of the Alyssa Thomas fan club. LOL
It's painfully obvious that what Alyssa did to Caitlin, it was intentional. Alyssa just tried to make it look unintentional, and she did a poor job of it. She didn't fool anybody, except those who wish to be fooled.
Alyssa should have received a much longer suspension. Not even debatable.
Caitlin Clark hard contact timeline: WNBA's growing history of brutal hits against the face of the sport
Following massive public outcry, and a statement from Fever president Kelly Krauskopf demanding that player safety be "paramount," the WNBA league office finally stepped in the following day. The league retroactively deemed Thomas's hit a "non-basketball act," hitting her with a Flagrant-2 penalty and handing down a one-game suspension.
But for the legion of fans who have watched Clark take a beating over the last three seasons, a retroactive suspension felt like too little, too late. Once again, the cycle of hard hits, missed live calls, and ensuing social media culture wars continues to define the young superstar's incredibly turbulent — and immensely scrutinized — WNBA career.
The entire Sporting World and the WNBA in particular would be better if Caitlin Clark had never entered the league. Nobody would be upset by the perceived poor treatment of her, everyone could return to mocking the WNBA as they had three years ago, the league could go about Business As Usual in its previous relative obscurity and poor Ms. Clark wouldn't have all those bruises covering her body. There would also be more bandwidth at the PCGS Sports Forum for us to talk about sports like Soccer, Jai Alai, Dog Racing, Cock Fighting and Bull Fighting.

Though the following is a statement that is viewed with disfavor by some members of society (both individuals and groups) it does have a basis in reality.
Males and females are not alike; including how they view things.
Males who get upset at other males often times will get into a physical fight. After the fight is over males often put the reason for the fight aside and move on (including later having a beer with the person he fought with).
Females in the same situation many times do not put the reason for the fight with another female aside and do not move on. Animosity remains.
For whatever reason CC is not loved, liked and/or warmly received by many other WNBA players. These other players have it out for her and that mindset is likely not going to be put aside.
CC can quit the league and play somewhere else (i.e. overseas); she can continue to play and tolerate the continued abuse; or she can continue to play but respond to a future incident where she is hard fouled by going beserk and (if she is able) putting a beat down on the person or persons who messed with her.
No one likes a bully and when the person who is bullied responds by fighting back and giving a beat down on the bully, the bully and all others similarly inclined will take notice and most likely choose to go find someone else to bully.
in some ways yes. in other ways no. temperment is not statistically determined by gender (or sex) or however you want to define that stuff. there are plentiful studies on this which support genetics as the strongest determining factor - twin and adoption studies.
It's not the 1950s anymore... bummer for some of you who want to promote your made up science.

Her hype somewhat resembles Michelle Wie in the LPGA. Promoted by Nike. She faded.

Fire AJ Preller
One second left in the game last night, Fever down by 1 point, and Caitlin buries a 3 pointer from 30 feet. Nothing but net.

Based upon what I've seen, her head coach & some teammates (and above) do not have her back.
WNBA is a woke organization.
I would fire their coach ASAP.
That said, it's still early in the season. Have you seen how good Olivia Miles is for the Lynx? Whoa!
Erik
Caitlin who?
I'm much more interested in the cute Russian who just won the French Open a few days ago.
2025 SEC bowl record 4-10
SEC bowl record vs BIG TEN last two years 2-8
Bummer. One of her dislikes is losers.
There have 7 30pt, 10 assist games in WNBA history. Clark has 3 of them.
Then starts your own thread about it..........

She gets victimized in that league and they don't even try to hide it
It's embarrassing at this point
I dont follow WNBA or really any womens sports, but i agree with Perk. that is embarrasing.
