WHEN BUZZ LIGHTYEAR IN THE ORIGINAL "TOY STORY" SAID, "TO THE UNIVERSE AND BEYOND," LITTLE DID WE KNOW HE WAS PREDICTING HOW MANY SEQUELS "BEYOND" "TOY STORY" THE MOVIE WOULD HAVE!

... and I thought two sequels added to the original "Godfather" was pushing it...

OK, admittedly there have been 12 official live-action feature films in the Star Wars franchise, but arguably only three qualify as Sequels (Star Wars Episodes VII, VIII, and IX.)

(AI actually gives "Godzilla" credit for the record at 37 sequels which includes both Japanese and American made movies. Rather than true sequels though one could argue that simply are 37 movies in which Godzilla is a character.)

Coming to a theatre near you....ARE YOU READY FOR A FIFTH?

DURING THIS FIRST WEEK OF JUNE, WITH ITS RECORD HIGH TEMPERATURES, SEABIRDS AND CANADIAN GEESE SURROUND THE COOL WATERS OF ANCHORAGE ALASKA'S COOK INLET, BOATERS RACE ON ITS TREACHEROUS WATERS, AND F-22 RAPTORS ROCKET UP OVER AND FALL BACK DOWN TOWARD THE INLET'S SCENIC SNOW-CAPPED MOUNT SUSITNA

The first two videos in the below linked playlist capture the same uS Air Force F-22 Raptor fighter jet as it first rockets upward into the Alaska stratosphere and then, in the second video, it is seen "freely fallin' " towards earth's scenic snow-capped Mt Susitna, accompanied by the music, Free Fallin'."

Subsequent videos add flights above Anchorage's Cook Inlet by both F-22 Raptors and a USAF C-17 iconic transport. Included are views of the stunning Alaska scenery surrounding Cook Inlet with mountains Susitna, McKinley a/k/a Denali, its sister Mt Foraker and active Volcano Mt Spurr located some 80 miles distant.

Also included are views of Seabirds and Canadian Geese as they flock to the shores of Anchorage's Cook Inlet as well as videos of speeding inflatables racing and turning on the treacherous ocean waters of Cook Inlet below the backdrop of scenic Mount Susitna.

With its Zip Line, Moored Pirate Ship, and Lake, Anchorage's Jewel Lake Park is a Great Place to Beat the Heat this Hot First Week of June - Video and Photos from Today, Saturday

In this below linked three video playlist visually experience the unique features of Anchorage Alaska's Jewel Lake Park as captured on a hot (for Alaska) June day that concludes a week of record setting temperatures in the high 70s.

Here to beat the heat are participants in an informal soccer game, children wading in the Lake's waters with others riding the Park's Zip Line and yet more having fun on the Park's moored Pirate Ship.

Birds flying over the Lake add to the ambiance as a dog plays catch and children race and chase.

Each video is accompanied by enjoyable music.

    Photo Screenshots:

AND YES, THIS IS THE SAME JEWEL LAKE THAT SERVED AS THE SET FOR THE ARCTIC SEA INTHE DREW BARRYMORE FILM, "BIG MIRACLE:"

(In the immediately below photo which I took, Drew is wearing the multi-colored Life Jacket as she is meeting the whaling crew actors for the first time after her arrival in Alaska. She came all the way out to my neighborhood lake just to meet the Eskimo/Inupiat actors who would be appearing in scenes with her later in the filming.)

Jewel Lake not only affords a place to have fun in the summer, but it also has much to offer for winter fun. Pictured below is an event hosted by Luke Nichols of YouTube's "Outdoor Boys" fame. Luke also brought his Snow Dog to Jewel Lake for the day of fun.
