I have had this Type I Buffalo in my collection for years and I had a little time to go over my collection for some coins to send to GreatCollections. I don't know why, but my hand was moved over to this Buffalo for a potential variety that I may have overlooked, and I need some other opinions.

This is a area of interest on my TrueView.

Here is the area of interest from PCGS.

Thank you for your interest and comments!

It's not a great match for the pictures at VarietyVista, so I'm going to go with "probably not". This isn't clear cut, though.

Thanks for the VarietyVista reference. I added a PCGS attributed area of interest to the OP.

No, I've picked two of these. The doubling is right of the standard letters, especially visible under the U.

    No. Just a well-worn die.

I'm continually going back through my collection looking for error, varieties and anomalies. Mostly from information learning from this forum.

You want to see the extra layer of letter bottoms under EPU. I don’t see it in yours but it might be lighting I have been hunting this variety for several years, then found 3 in the last 6 months. There are a few pick up points/ diagnostics for this variety aside from the under letters. There is a flat spot at 12 on the O in Of America. There is a very specific die crack in the F of Five on later die stage examples, and some have a raised little accento going northwest from under the U to almost touching the R in Pluribus (look at the red line on the last image

Here are two of mine waiting to go in for attribution. You can study the images and find several diagnostics.
There are a few dies that look really close but lack the under letters. Beware of late die stage die erosion. I have bought so many pcgs 1913 looking for this 1802, so now I cross reference at least three distinctive markers before buying a cherry pick.
