A reminder that I miss @cardinal.

I was checking in at Heritage this morning and noticed a listing for a "Libertas Americana" medal and immediately my thoughts turned to @cardinal and his fabulous collection of these intriguing medals. He educated and informed us all, posting regularly as he acquired a new medal and continued his research. It's strange, but we only met(and then online here, never in person) near the end of his life. I say that because we were born and raised perhaps 20 minutes from each other and discovered that as children our interest in Numismatics took us to the same small Coin Shop in Eastlake, Ohio. Cozy Coin was a small shop tucked in amongst the other stores on Vine Street, easy to miss, but I enjoyed my visits.
RIP, @cardinal.

There is a belated obituary in The Numismatist this month.
@oldabeintx, can you cut/paste or provide a link??

Sounds like a trusted, good guy and a solid citizen.
I am sorry he passed.
His passion for the hobby and his field of expertise will probably not be matched.
Sorry, not in my skill set. Perhaps if The Numismatist is available online, someone can respond.
the people we miss, RIP cardinal
Martin was a real gentleman and a true collector. He was taken from us much too soon..RIP
