    which means

    SA will win

    Wemby under 25.5 points

Two things i think are working in my favor. Wemby played a lot of minutes on Monday, and I'm hoping he's a bit off tonight after that supreme effort. Secondly it would be hard to believe if OKC doesn't make adjustments to stop or at least stifle Wemby. If the other Spurs players beat ya fine, but don't allow Wemby to do it.

That being said and the wager placed, I now expect Wemby to score 26 points in the first quarter.

edit - Oh yea, almost forgot, received a nice 30% profit boost on this, so win or lose, I think it's a good decision. No complaints either way, unless I get hooked. LOL

  • stevekstevek Posts: 32,037 ✭✭✭✭✭

Interesting that Wemby only played 6 minutes of that 1st quarter? Did he get nicked or something?

In any event, sure looks like a barn burner of a game.

With everyone seemingly down on their luck, taking a break, or quitting gambling entirely, I thought I'd provide a little inspiration. Not everyone was born into this world to have their pockets picked by the casinos. There is a hero out there for the common man to look up to. Someone taking retribution and inflicting some pain of their own. The man... the myth... the legend... The Count! Kicking Casinos' Asses for Over 3 Decades (R.I.P Sam's Town North Kansas City🪦)

I barely use this account. This book is geared more towards SGPs, which I rarely play. You can see here that I've only deposited $300 total. My current balance is in the bottom left corner. It is more than $300. I'm unsure how they calculate that I've lost money in this account.

The only people that will tell you that you can't beat the casinos are people that can't beat the casinos.

If you can figure out how to win $1, winning a million should be easy. It's just a matter of repetition and scale.

Everybody wants to win, but not everybody WANTS to be a winner.

Also, I can't speak for the professional poker players, but I know little ol' me, a NOOOOO-BODY, I never had to pay for my flights, hotel, food, or transportation. The casinos provided all of that for me and my guest(s). I've probably spent more than 500 nights in a Las Vegas hotel, mostly 3 or 4 nights at a time, roughly 150 round-trip flights, and never paid a dime. Same with trips to Atlantic City, Reno, Laughlin, Tunica, New Orleans, and even Windsor, Ontario. I would just flash my card and say, "I'm 7STAR, baby!"

    NBA Finals winner 2025-26 season:
    Oklahoma City Thunder: +125
    San Antonio Spurs: +155
    New York Knicks: +400
    Cleveland Cavaliers: +3000

Books not giving OKC a whole lotta love off that convincing win last night. I'm surprised a + sign is out there.

Cavs getting no love at all.

Seems like the Knicks may have the best momentum of them all right now. Not sure exactly if that momentum is good enough to translate into a championship. But at +400 the books are giving them a puncher's chance.

  • galaxy27galaxy27 Posts: 10,030 ✭✭✭✭✭

Spurs-Thunder is going to be even more interesting from here on out

Brunson with 2 points at halftime. Are you kidding me?

This game should be a blowout right now.

  • stevekstevek Posts: 32,037 ✭✭✭✭✭

Tempted to play a prop on Knicks win the second half. If Brunson just picks it up for crying out loud, the Knicks should cover it with no problem. But I've already got enough invested in this game, so I'll pass on what could be easy money.

What adds to the madness of the NBA are the swings from the star players from game to game. I hit everything last night so I shouldn't complain. But how the yell does Brunson have 2 points at halftime? It should be impossible.

I mean he scores 38 points on Tuesday, then against the same team two days later, same venue, he only scores 19? How the yell are you supposed to handicap chit like that? Fortunately for me, the other Knicks players stepped up.

  • stevekstevek Posts: 32,037 ✭✭✭✭✭

It'll be slow at work today. That's good, more time to handicap the OKC game. 😂

in today's edition of the NBA makes no sense whatsoever, the Spurs go back home, get their point guard back, OKC was without their 2nd best player (again), San Antonio scores the first 15 points of the game, OKC blows them out

With taking into account your above points wasn't it odd that the Spurs were only 2.5 favorites? When OKC at home was 6.5 both games. Thought Spurs would of been favored by more.

I can't recall ever seeing an NBA game start off 15-0. And if it did, I would have to imagine the early goose egg was by a dog against a heavy favorite. But this was the defending NBA champs laying the goose egg.

Folks in an insane asylum watching NBA games, would say that the NBA is crazy.

I wonder how many OKC bettors cashed out during the time-out when it was 15-0? I'm sure it had to be some.

Check the homes with now broken computer screens, and you'll find those OKC bettors who cashed out at 15-0. Probably taking around 30 or 40 cents on the dollar, only to see their team eventually win easily.

    Odds from K

  • stevekstevek Posts: 32,037 ✭✭✭✭✭

Look at the current odds differential K vs an online book: OKC to win it all

Online book: $100 bet to win $51
    K: $100 bet to win $64

I'm still not completely familiar with K yet. I think they might grab as juice 5% of that $64, not sure. Even if that was correct, the payout would be $61

Note the K pool, over 200 million dollars!

I can see why DK stock price has plummeted from $48 last September to $25 today. At a time when the stock market has reached all time highs.

I studied all that at Penn State. Took a few courses on the stock market. I wonder if any colleges have courses on sports betting? Considering its legal proliferation over the past couple of decades, it wouldn't surprise me.

Might be a full course on NBA wagering. Qualifications to teach it might be a history of severe mental disorders. 😂

Might be a quick study course. Get a voucher. Feed it in. Press the button a number of times. Then when the voucher is down to zero, go to the cage to buy another one. Keep repeating until your cash or card is maxed out.

Then see if the casino is nice enough to give you a cheap meal for your effort.

I miss the days when real $ came out of the slots. Hit a $1000.00 payout once and it emptied out all the silver tokens, not real silver. 6 buckets were filled.

In the beginning of Atlantic City at Resorts Intl. The slot payout, would randomly be a genuine silver dollar for around each ten or twenty "coins" paid out. Of course they were all common date Morgan and Peace, VG type condition, and back then maybe worth around two or three bucks each. But it was still fun getting them.
