When you use an apostrophe (‘)
it means that you removed a letter, (as in: We aren’t picking on you too hard),
or it means “of someone” as in: he is a friend of my brother. (Brother’s friend).
I won’t explain folk’s, but I’ll (see, I took out wi) use the past example.
I bought fifteen uncirculated mint sets. Add s for plural.
Osiris is Set’s brother. (Egyptian stuff)
My mint set’s cracked.
That mint set’s lens is cracked.
I teach this stuff, I don’t care about mistakes, but doing it twice is a bad look for you and invites those things that you wish to avoid in your threads.
This is what a teacher does for a struggling student.

But, could I ask, why so unwilling to change? It's one thing to make a mistake out of ignorance. It's another to cling to that mistake despite it being pointed out to you. It does matter. Improper punctuation can obscure meaning and lead to misunderstanding.

Mach19 uses apostrophes for all plurals for some unknown reason. It became quite the row on another thread.

Misunderstanding's in a coin collector message board hardly ever happen. When they do occur the consequence's are horrifying.
