Set Registry Inquiry - Dahlonega Type Set.
My collection is named The PentaMint Collection.
I'm must be doing something wrong as this is my THIRD request to the same problem which hasn't received any response. The first was August, 2025, the second around 30 days ago and now this one. This doesn't include the verbal request I related to a PCGS Customer Service Rep on Wednesday, April 22 at CSNS show in Chicago.
I completed the 9 coin Dahlonega type set in July of 2025. My set is currently in 2nd place and the only reason I can tell why it's not in first place is there is an obvious numeric gap between the GPA weighted rating and the set rating of my set. All other 100% sets have equal numeric ratings.
Considering the deadline for the set registry is about 6 weeks away, my experience to date is frustrating.
Would appreciate some type of acknowledgment.

Assuming we're talking about this one (to save future readers the time of hunting for it)

Your set is set to private, so that makes it tougher for the general public to make any true one-to-one comparisons, but based on

it would seem impossible for the Overland and the retired sets to have equal GPA Weighted and Set Ratings. My guess is that their weightings are probably higher, but not properly displayed in the 'weighted' column? Overland's set was completed in 2014, it looks like, it's possible they were ranked solely on grades at that point, and it's never been updated since the rating system got changed? That's about the only theory I can come up with. Regardless, I would tend to agree, this needs to be looked into before awards are finalized. @Charles_Morgan should probably get a direct tag into this thread, hopefully he can push some of the right buttons to get it on the right desks.
Good pickup on private setup. It should be corrected. My inference is I have 8 other completed sets and each of those sets have matching weight/rating values. I know I had trouble posting my 39-D $2.50 because of the HM-1 variety apparently had never been posted to a set. My guess is, for the 39-D $2.50, the GPA rated value didn't cross over to the set rating calculations. Every completed Dahonega set has matching values in the two columns with one exception...the one I own. I have no clue what the math is behind these calculations so to that I'm ignorant.
Every coin slot has it's own weighting based on PCGS's view of rarity, desirability, etc. This can be found here -> https://www.pcgs.com/setregistry/type-sets-by-mint/type-sets-by-mint/dahlonega-complete-type-set-circulation-strikes-1838-1861/composition/4
You multiply your coin's grade by that number, add up all of the results, and divide by 30 (see the Divisor: 30 at the bottom of the page). There also various bonuses for top pops and color/strike designations which may be available. This gets you your Set Rating. It's easier to see the math if you look into your set (vs the public page) and you can see it. Here's a snapshot of one of my sets:
It looks like your rating should be a bit higher or my math is off because by my calculations you are at 59.63 and that doesn't include your two top pop bonuses.
The Overland Collection matches the calculations at 54.7. It appears the Set Rating and Weighted GPA both being identical at 54.7 may be a system issue as I make the Weighted GPA a touch higher, but there may also be some other issue of which I'm unaware.

Yeah, having it listed public makes a better comparison possible. I'm guessing they failed to apply any weight calculations to the more recently added coins/certs. The whole set probably needs a complete audit, the breadth of which is far above my pay grade :-/
Thank you both for your insights
