It's coming up for auction soon, a Brian Boru Dollar in Silver, HK-390. This design doesn't show for sale very often in any planchet type but it's usually aluminum when found. NGC lists 21 in Silver but I've only seen 2-3. The real prize is the single Bronze example listed by NGC. Just a lovely design. Enjoy.

@MWallace really likes these!
The bronze version sold in 2010, and that's the only sale record I have for that one.
I have almost a dozen sale records for silver examples in that period
@CaptHenway recorded a mintage of 75-200 for the silver, 1-8 for the bronze. Those numbers feel reasonable to me.
Cool!
It is a bit unusual to see a bronze scarcer than a silver version within medals.
I had one. I think I paid $12 for it, around 1978.
I actually prefer Bronze medals or "Bronzed" medals over Silver which doesn't tend to tone nicely very often. I also like medals that have a Silver Oxidized finish. I have an Eglit 583 on the desk right now that I'm going to send to PCGS, it's a White Metal planchet with that finish. Over the years I have moved away from buying medals struck in White Metal or Aluminum because I just don't like the appearance and problems that come along with them.

Hey @CaptHenway, add two zeroes to that and you'll still be outbid!!

Love it!
Que sera, sera.
I know nothing about these, but that is a cool design!
Sadly, as in almost all historical figures prior to the 1500's, there is no recorded painting or other true likeness of this most remarkable man. What we are left with is an "artists conception" of what he may have looked like.
Makes me want to hire someone to paint me before I fade into obscurity.
