ANA Pittsburg Bourse Layout

Just for perspective. The Bourse floor at ANA this summer is approximately 180 yards by 70 yards, not including the back space for what I assume will be food vendors and tables which looks to be at least 20 yards thick across the whole back but who knows how many vendors and tables will be put in. I count approx. 450 10x10 booths. This does not include large booths in the back for things like the mint, or club booths, or the large Exhibit space. Just to give folks a sense of scale of these mega shows. So almost 2 full football fields. In terms of square feet, we are talking over at least 115,000 of bourse space, not including the large periphery of exhibits and food areas. Consider that compared to a 2000 sq ft house, or the average Walmart of about 178,000 square feet. So it will be like going to Walmart with a little less space..............
They already started filling the booths, with Stacks, Great Collections, and Heritage filling multiple booths front line and center with their dominant presence. Most of us will be up to bat to select our booths next week in a pre-arranged order based on seniority and other things that rank the order. The TPGS are stuck at both ends, so if you want to submit, from the entrance to the slabbers will be about 100 yards...............

Sound way too crowded. Now I'm not sure if it's worth it.
Typically, a determination of “crowded” is largely dependent upon the attendance at a given time. And that’s yet to be determined. Or, did you do meticulous calculations of the projected space between tables, and in front of each table, based on the stated minimim estimated bourse space?

I don't worry. At crowded shows, I wear my Social Distancing Helmet at all times.

FYI---my last ANA show in Pittsburg I almost got mugged walking back from Pirates Ballgame
had to literally run for my life, mugger chasing me
. when its getting dark stay off the streets. be careful walking back to your hotel.
stay in groups.
Sarcasm? Why?
Largely, yes. Because I couldn’t understand how, without knowing in advance how crowded it would be, you arrived at the conclusion that “Sound way too crowded”. But I was wondering whether, if, based on the number of tables and amount of floor space mentioned, perhaps I was missing something.

Looks like that they started with the ancient and world section bourse table assignments. There are only 4 tables left in that section.
I think many of are hoping that it will be ‘way too crowded’. And with money dropping out of the sky to buy everything in site. That is almost what it was like at FUN in January. So let’s see of ANA can top it.
Looks the same or about the same at the last one in Pittsburgh a couple years ago. I forget if they call for booth selection or assign it. Figure I will end up at the same location. I go for the Premium section. Paid for a corner this time, but don't know if I had two straights the last time there. The big concern really is whether fuel shortages will impact shows as the year progresses. (Got my air reservations for this and FUN right when the Strait of Hormuz closed, before airfares and frequent flyer award numbers went up for flights. Of course, the airlines could cancel flights and make me rebook at current rates I guess.)
Day 3 of table selection just completed, with 2 more days to go. Looks to be around 90% filled. Going to be quite a show……..
Best, DM
I think will have to drive over for this show on Saturday. Looking forward to it.
I believe that it is filling up faster than I have ever seen.
I'll pass as I refuse to pay an entry fee for ANY coin show. Isn't that what the dealer's fees were supposed to be for? BTW most of Yinz are spelling Pittsburgh wrong. RGDS!
