I have a GSA 1884-CC Morgan with all the papers and box and want it graded

Hello, My name is Doulas Williams and I am a new member, I have several Morgan's I want to get graded. One is a GSA 1884-CC GEM UNC. in the original case with the paperwork and box, I would like to know if I send it in will it be removed from the GSA case or will it be graded and labeled like the other GSA Morgan's I have seen with the wrap around label seal identifying it as graded by PCGS and the grade. Or will it be removed from the original casing and placed in a PCGS holder? The GSA case is in beautiful condition and I would rather not have it removed from the case. can anyone give me a answer? thank you, Douglas Williams

    Most GSA collectors use NGC for grading their dollars. NGC does not put it in an oversized slab and just puts a grading band around the GSA slab, at the bottom. Therefore it can be put back in the GSA box. GSA dollars are the only coins that I get graded at NGC. All others go to PCGS.

    There's not much upside of grading a GSA 82-84 unless it's REALLY nice.

    Otherwise, you're just throwing money away.

    More important than how common the coins are, is the difference in value between an ungraded and a graded example, when compared to the cost of grading.

    I think ANACS will grade them in the OGP as well.
