Hamilton. That’s your angle? I get it that you’re negative on Bauers but you’re adding new guys to the mix here to make your point. I’m not high on Joey-O at the plate, but Bauers is tops in the league at bat speed and his plate discipline is excellent so far. I’m not closing the book on him or building the team around him. Either way you’re off there.
Like last year I bet. Your expert analysis wasn’t forgotten. You make yourself look like a fool trying to predict the future. I can paint flames on my car and call it a rocket! That doesn’t make me an astronaut. No one thinks you’re an expert. Stop pretending.

Bauers is 30 years old playing for his 5th team being trading multiple times as a throw in and terrible career numbers for a 1B.
Once again very predictable that you resort to personal insults not being able to discuss sports

Personal insults? You mean pointing out that you make predictions which land at Nostradamus rates? Hardly. You’re not being attacked here. Brewers just took 2 of 3 here from the Yankees and that’s a nice surprise. Look who popped that HR in the 7th to open the scoring.
So very predictable that you’re talking about Bauers here because I didn’t list him before as my response to the 2 above average hitters attempt. You brought him up. That you were off base again is par for your course. I’m sorry you feel so insulted but that seems like a you problem. Maybe you’re just wrong a lot.

You literally mentioned him and then starters and guys with less than 20 abs
You literally brought up Hamilton and Bauers and I literally responded to you. I’m giving you my answer to who is an above average hitter. It’s not the world’s highest bar. Above average is just that. Maybe take more time with the words you select or something so that you’re picking the right ones. Being so wrong and doubling down has gotta take its toll.

Sorry dude. You brought both up. I responded. I think Bauers has elite bat speed and his plate discipline has been good. I was rewarded with a 7th inning bomb. I don’t have a poster but I mean… I wouldn’t not have a poster.
Whether you think the Brewers are bad or not doesn’t change how many games they win. Cubs have to play them and according to numbers their schedule isn’t “very easy” and that was your assertion. It’s really not a big deal but I question why you make those statements.
Like with the Brewers payroll. They’re the smallest market. I know I know there’s no small markets. But there are smaller ones and the Brewers total media revenue is less than the Yankees regional. That’s hundreds of millions that these other “do it for the fans” owners are spending. Attanasio has been clear he’s going to run a sustainable business.
@bgr Brewers playing through some injuries and still have a good record. They will be tough. Aside from them having Jimmie Foxx, I like that when Sal Frelick has long hair he looks like he just walked off the set of "All The Right Moves."

You're the Good Luck Rabbit's Foot for the Crew without a doubt! First Bauers and now Ortiz... Thanks!
With PCA the thing that sticks out is after 1,100 AB’s his OB% is .288 which is even lower than Salvy Perez. Not good. I don’t watch their games so I don’t know if his swing decision’s are getting better but that’s what it’s all about for him. pitch recognition, and swinging at pitches he can do something with. His walk rate looks like it’s up slightly this year but still just .308 on base rate. And with his speed its critical he get on base more. Time will tell but improvement in this area should have already started.

He swings at everything. He's become accustomed to happy accidents, golfing pitches at his feet into the jetstream at Wrigley. Maybe someday. Just maybe. He will adjust and quit giving away walks because 80%+ of the pitches he sees are way out of the strike zone. Pitchers throwing sliders and splitters at his feet are gone thrive until he figures it out. That being said, he still maintains his rep as one of, if not THE BEST defensive player in the game right now. His manager encourages him to be himself. So, he does that. I'd love to see him be an OBP guy and slap the ball everywhere, steal bases, start rallies. Not his game right now. He fits the role they gave him. Good enough if they keep winning.

You have to remember Salvy for his good run. He's at the end and it looks painful tho.

Have you heard of Jake Bauers?
Honestly no, my only connection to MLB these days is through betting and that mostly consists of Yankees and Dodgers players and team bets.
no one has... and then BB21 comes along and throws shade and that causes a grasshopper to fart which triggers Jake Bauers to blast the first pitch thrown after Schlittler leaves the game out of the park.

To give some perspective, Ray Oyler, one of the worst offensive players of all-time, playing in the late 60s era of pitchers, had a .258.
Iffy comparison, LOL. If Oyler played today, he wouldn't be hitting MLB pitching. He'd be in AAA. But, let's get back to PCA for a moment. His athletic skills aren't in question. He can catch a ball, usually. When he doesn't, and fans jump on the "Let's rip Pete" bandwagon, he responds with expletives and threats. A true baseball star. Soon, he'll be spitting tobacco juice at them.
He plays for a team that finds an identity, then they dump it on the interstate and go back to being.....the Cubs.
In the late 1960s a .258 OBP would rank in the bottom 5% of the league and in 2026 a .288 OBP ranks in the bottom 15%. In 1960 a .288 OBP would have ranked in the bottom 20% and in 2026 a .258 would rank below the worst... well below the worst.
He'd been getting accustomed to the love he received in all the road towns, little kids with signs and Sharpies and taking photos and then....oops, ya gotta go play at the visitor park where everyone pretends to be friends, people locked arm-in-arm wearing opposing jerseys, but that crazy game yesterday was exactly like a crosstown rivalry oughta be. He gets the adulation at home tonight from the bleachers. I just worry about him crashing into that stupid brick wall.
I like what PCA did there.. unload on that bitch. I just saw the full video, he barely missed making a sensational catch, he’s pissed, and some skank starts giving him crap. She could have easily said nice try or something but she took the ugly route. So let’s get ugly! 🤬
Apparently she is engaged and it was an outing for her and the bridesmaids’ or something. Can you imagine being married to that thing?

I think these interpersonal relationships between players and fans are getting surreal. Some parks like Rate Field allow fans to get right up into the face of a player from the safety of a fence, while consuming alcoholic beverages at party time levels. Perfect mix.

People and the media are over blowing a lot of this crap. She talked trash he talked it back that was it. Theres no story there but people need stuff to write about. No clue who she is personally but no reason for people getting on her for making fun of an opposing player and no reason for people to get on PCA for chirping back.
Its not like the NBA nonsense where they have fans thrown out for hurting their feelings. The fans that deserved to get dumbed on are the ones like those Yankees fans that grabbed Mookies wrist to rip a ball out of his glove, thats over the line.
Find me another first place team (temporarily) that seems to be circling the drain. Sucks their pitching has been destroyed and probably, their season.
