Desk Display for Slabbed Coins?

Matt04Matt04 Posts: 441 ✭✭✭

Looking for recommendations for displaying slabbed coins on my desk. I want something clean, good-looking that can hold PCGS/NGC slabs without taking up too much space. Any places that sell em?

That display above looks nice. For the OP, keep in mind that not all slabs are created equally.

Not sure what your need is, but if you want to display a single slab for yourself, lots of smartphone stands will work. Like this one; https://a.co/d/017ABUgt

Looking for one to display a half dozen or so. Only problem is those ebay pages seem to all be straight from china. Not sure how they actually look or the quality.

Interesting thing…..I have ordered a few of these ‘China’ products that were sent from a distributor here in the USA and the quality was just fine……

Another option: Volterra coin boxes for slabs with glass lids from Lighthouse.

Do not personally own any, but it appears that you can order boxes that accommodate 1-6 slabs.

There is a seller on fleaBay who sells a 4-sided "Stackable Coin Slab Display Storage" -- put it on a mini lazy susan.

I use a wall-mounted IKEA pegboard with several of their hooks/accessories for slabs and Capital boards. Easy to reconfigure and doesn't take up any desk space at all!

A number of years ago forum member @solid made and sold slabbed coin holders for display such as what you're asking about. I have one if you're interested. I could locate it and send you some pictures. It has a wooden base and a rotating metal frame that holds four coins in plastic frames which hold the slabs securely. There are four each for PCGS and NGC coins. It is very well made. It also comes with a proprietary tool for the fasteners. Let me know if you'd like pictures.

My wife has the maids come over every 2 weeks. Would not dare leave coins in open. .

I would use one of those video picture frames that rotate the images instead of leaving temptation out in the open.
