You did well on the box. Bret Saberhagen looks a bit like George Brett on that card. I remember buying the 89 boxes on the cheap around $25 way back when. People did not want them much. The 1992 Bowman really took off.

Yes maybe your daughter helped! Milestones like getting married and having children are our "GEM MT 10"s and "MS-70"s in life. If we get a Gem Mint 10 or MS-70 in the cardboard and coin worlds, those are icing on the cake.
