Here is my lone win. An extremely nice Schmidt Rookie for an PSA-8.5...with a back being very well centered...atypical for the issue. This example compares favorably for an earlier graded (1xxxxxxx) PSA-9 Schmidt Rookie of mine which I sold. The inks on this 8.5 Schmidt Rookie ooze color...

Observations include that Jackie Robinson cards are very hot...and that MBA Diamond can add significant value, especially MBA-Gold diamonds!...whether you like MBA or not.

That Cey Rookie is a BEAST! And that '67 Topps Wax Box is slightly out of my range, but I crave.
Is the 48 Robinson another trim job? Time to check out net54 and blowout. Id also like to know why its a 4 and not a 6 or 7.
It's the singer not the song - Peter Townshend (1972)
Not even a minute do I buy the whole buh buh buh I'm a man-child japery - Me (2025)
Baker found a nice racket for himself, with these strong prices I guess it will continue. If eye appeal looks good throw on a silver sticker, if it looks REALLY Good throw on a gold sticker. Cha Ching! Can’t make it up.
Maybe I’ll start a service to grade the condition of people’s slabs.

MBA grade on the Leaf Jackie is 4.5…a technical upgrade for a gold diamond. I am just a reporter…reporting what I am seeing ( not pumping).
That is a fantastic Schmidt - congrats on the pickup! Some heavy prices reported there.
I am not an expert on the '48 Leaf cards, but that has quite the vibrant look for a 4- could there be something problematic on the back that prevents a higher grade?
edited to add- Ron Cey can be added to the 1955-1980 players thread even though his career extended beyond 1980
Experience the World through Numismatics...it's more than you can imagine.
The back of the ‘48 Leaf appears clean…and REA description does not mention any crease or spider wrinkle. I will put up the scan of the back later today…
Or crack out a card, trim, bump, and put in the now available MBA holders. And add +5 grades for good measure like he did with the T206 Walter Johnson.

That's only if you accept the 2 that PSA gave it to begin with.
PSA gave a 5 to a beautiful Michael Jordan card of mine.
I cracked it out and sent to SGC and they gave the 10 it deserved.
A +5 grade increase and I didn't clean, trim, or do anything other than crack it out.
PSA grades are losing their meaning more and more every day.
More power to you if you want to get your cards out of PSA holders. MBA might be a good option for you as well.
Thank you. Will do. I have already started of collection of cards graded by other companies. Post coming soon.
But more power to you continuing to send in your cards to PSA for at least $25 so they can tell you your 8s, 9s, and 10s are 4s, 5s, and 6s, 6 months after you sent them in. And oh, may also tell you that they graded your card based on the wrong standard, but won't change it unless you pay them to look at it again, and then still might not fix it.
mantle 52 topps scg 5 sold for 178,000. amazing.
Love the Cey rookie Monte!
I won a few items last night. These are my favs.

I am willing to tolerate the centering on the Banks because it is a very tough OPC card.
Late 60's and early to mid 70's non-sports
You sound bitter. And I don't send cards to PSA.
