Based on only these images and a 3-day return, would you even consider buying this 1893-S dollar?

    Assuming it's genuine, I'd still rather own one with more wear but better surfaces. The image size presumably makes the coin look worse than actual but looks to me it's a coin that should end up in a details holder. It's not rare, or even scarce with plenty of others to choose from.

    A number of posters have used verbiage like: "assuming it's genuine" or "If it's real"... and with Chinese counterfeits getting as good as they've gotten, to the point where they're even faking TPG slabs, I'd say no way I'd buy this coin raw and I'd even go so far as to say I'd only buy certified and from a trusted dealer. There have been some very convincing fakes on ebay recently for other rare coins (1795 Flowing Hair Half and Draped Bust Halfs) spring to mind...
