Eliminate was not the best word to use. Jail or ban would have been more appropriate. I also understand some of the frustration given that several of the threads I have been following have long discussions that have nothing to do with the subject of the main thread. Some of us just are not great with word choice sometimes. But I think his meaning was plenty obvious.
I just received a pair of dimes from mach19 and I have no concern about his having my address. I was quite happy to receive the dimes as I didn't have many options to obtain them elsewhere. They are pretty nice to see in hand versus just pictures.
Please give my dime to a local charity, such as the Boys and Girls Club of America.

I think a few people are showing themselves to just be troublemakers who have some ax to grind.
"eliminate" can, and probably does, mean "ban" in the context of this forum.
As for "having the names/addresses of many forum members"....? How else would one send them stuff given out as a giveaway? Do those troublemakers want to do the giveaways instead? Maybe they want to pay for a 3rd party and all the extra shipping to do it?
People have been having giveaways on these forums for decades now yet it is only recently that some troublemakers want to make an issue of it? Because they have an ax to grind with the person doing this one?

This is a text only forum. There is no tone or body language. I know some people here in real life but not everyone. We had an enormous argument last week about the term 86; some thought it meant kill, some thought it meant kick out. It's been used both ways.
Eliminate has never been used to mean kick somebody out. Ban, jail, silence, mute, quiet, etc. There are many choices. When someone says
I would assume that OP is not referring to my March Madness bracket. He chose caps. He said TRULY. That does not sound like a figure of speech. If somebody said, "I TRULY wish we could track down the folk's who hijack these oil tankers.....AND ELIMINATE THEM !!!" or I TRULY wish we could track down the folk's who vandalize park benches .....AND ELIMINATE THEM !!!", what would it mean?

Actually, the police do track down suspects in order to eliminate them. That also applies to math in the sciences and engineering where we track down variables to eliminate them.
If I were truly afraid of Mach19's intent, I'm not sure I would be constantly criticizing him.

Well, Mach19 was kindly giving some away until he got bullied too much and ended up pulling his giveaways
I've never had an issue with him but understand him getting tired of getting bullied by jealous, or otherwise problematic, people and then not wanting to deal with it and just pulling the giveaways

Bumping this thread, so everyone can see that @mach19 is good for his word.
I basically stated that I would love to have
one for each of my daughters. He messaged me and asked for my address. I saw no reason for alarm.
I think there was a lot of disrespect for his generosity, and his words were taken out of context.
Not only did I receive a P and D mint coin, but I also received a second set. Now I can give a set to each of my daughters.
It still surprises me to see how some people react on this forum.
If @mach19 ever wishes me to send him a small gift or two, I will kindly oblige.
