Yeah, horrible waiting room! I was there 20 minutes before the release time and when I clicked on the coin link to order it put me in waiting room again! The new U.S. Mint CEO needs to do something! Maybe let everyone subscribe then run a lottery to select the winners and give them the option to order the coin within 24 hours.

I'm no IT genius, I just logged in at 11:55am, and it let me right in. Just got lucky, I guess.....and I'm still in the waiting room so I can simply get my order #'s

I was also in at 11:59am. Released into the site. Remind me. waited - no change. Choose 2 roll set - got bounced to a 16 min wait time.

Something is definitely wrong with this process.

Page has "remind me" that never changes at 12 noon.
Reselecting the 2 roll set page bumps you out to Wait room.
    WTF

I had the same issue on my PC and my phone, which had I logged in early. I was lucky I had the ipad in play as it produced my orders, and I did not log in with it until just minutes before release time.

Once in, you get 10 minutes on the site, so if you were in more than 10 minutes before release, you went in too early. All of the Mint website issues would be instantly solved if the Mint just minted products like this to demand. No max product cap, and no household limit. Everyone gets what they want and the Mint profits. Only the flippers would be upset.

I was on my phone. Got in at some point after noon. Tried to order, but didn't have my credit card handy, for the security code. Got the card, and it told me the limit had been reached. Backed out and tried again and was successful. I have an order number, at least. We'll see if the order gets confirmed.

That was a freaking waste of time. I was in waiting room for less than 6 minutes and everything for the dime was sold out by the time I hit buy in less than a minute. This process truly sucks!

Well the alternative is to have it like it was before where the website just crashes and it's even more of a crap shoot whether you get one.

I have said this before... At least you have a fighting chance! The current crap shoot is worse than the old one in my opinion.

    it's old fashioned but effective

fax your issues with the dime to the mint director.

i think upping the limit would be good

i also think asking for cent rolls would be a good idea. maybe 50,000 roll sets

Most people don't know or understand how the waiting room works. It's described here: https://www.usmint.gov/news/coins-online/september-2025

The issue seems to be with the page where you have a drop down box for multiple products.
Being released into the site from the waiting room before 12 noon - then waiting on that page for noon to come - does not automatically change Remind me to Add to Bag.
Clicking the drop down again seems to send you right back to the wait room. Definite program issues.
    The mint should fix.
First of all, the waiting room should be set at 11:45am. No sooner arrivals get any advantage.
When the clock strikes 12 - then you should be in the site in order. Product add to bag should be lit and ready.

If you are let in at/just before release time from the waiting room when the time hits the button should automatically turn red. I had two computers and my phone going and took a chance on one and went to 'shop' and then 'new releases' and got in, but if you are already there it should just automatically turn to add to bag.

Minting items to demand makes them less desirable. I would rather have a fair chance at a more unique item, than a sure thing that everyone in the world has.

More than the flippers would be upset. When the coins you bought are dropping in value, a lot of the non-flippers would also be upset.

Just received order confirmation for both the roll set and the bag. If only every new release went this easy!

I was on the desktop and the iPad and released from the waiting room with about 20 minutes to go on each. I did not log in to my account. I was on the actual Dime page for each. At 11:00 central, nothing happened. So, I reselected on the desktop, several times, between, the Dime rolls and bags. Nothing, it still had the "Remind Me" button up. Went to the iPad, and it still had the "Remind Me' button up. Reselected once to the Rolls, and it showed the "Add the Bag" in red, ordered the Rolls and then reselected the Bags and was also able to order those as well. Done with the iPad by 11:02.

Went back to the desktop (curious to see if it would move to add to bag), reselected several more times, and it never changed from the "Remind Me" button. At 11:03, refreshed the page and of course it went to a 17-minute waiting room.

    Confirmed USM21872xxx.

    Boom...we win.

I think there’s a threshold where the waiting room is triggered and Maybe it gets triggered a couple minutes after the launch and then that just screws everything up

On a really big launch there’s a waiting room from the start

    But today’s wasn’t triggered until after 12
    Sometime

I got on the US Mint website at 11:53, 7 min before launch and was immediately put in a 5 min waiting room, just about perfect timing, was in about a min before launch, had time to log in and get to the product page right when it went live.

Still think the best result is no limits on the products and Mint to demand. The Mint should not be in the business of selling products that are instantly worth more because of artificial scarcity. Many collectors just want the coins and are not looking for an instant gain.

It helps to have the desired products in your wish list. Once on the site, be sure to login and go to your wish list with 30-45 seconds before drop. You can refresh the wish list page if logged in and not get shoved to the back of a line. Add products to bag, pay and you'll have a successful order.

What does backorder mean in Mintspeak? My dime bag order switched to backorder- does that indicate that I’m dead or just need to wait? I called the mint helpline but they were noncommittal. Thx

I logged in 5 minutes early and my wait time kept on creeping up. I ended up logging out and when I logged back in there was no waiting room! Go figure. Ordered as usual, no problems.

The waiting room is triggered on demand but some people are able to bypass it somehow, either intentionally or as a glitch or perhaps it's working as intended and they are placed in the front of the queue. I was in the waiting room about 18 minutes out.

Some may not. But not the case in this instance.
Now several individuals have experienced the same glitch - logging into the site; in the waiting room; waiting room releases to the site a few minutes before release to the page with drop down multiple choices for product to choose.
    Reminder me is on.
    No refresh or action taken.
At noon, try to select the product—to no avail- remind me button never changes to add to bag.
Then, in some cases, getting bounced back to wait room.
There is your test case USM programmers.
Configure Cloudfare to ensure you’re not bounced back to the wait room once you’ve been there already.
And make sure remind me button becomes active with add to bag on all multi select pages.

Same here. I had logged in half hour earlier on both phone and PC. I had the dime page ready.
A couple minutes before the release bell, I was going back and forth on the product choice menu in order to keep the log in active. I noticed the price did not change so I refreshed the page since I was not in waiting room.
THEN, I was in waiting room !!

But, the phone was allowed in first and it did not allow check out.
Now I realize this was because I was logged in on both PC and phone so the phone was flagged as 'suspected electronic cheat'.

My friend and brother as well had no luck finding the items available.

    Oh well !

Back Order is the current status of that product, not YOUR status. You should have gotten a confirmation email about saying that your order was successfully completed, and your credit card should already be charged. I got an email at the time of order (because I want to tell people that I bought a dime bag from the US Government) that said my order had been placed, and would be confirmed within 24 hours. About an hour later, I got a confirmation email, and I checked my credit card and saw the pending charge for $60.

I got a reminder on my phone about the release at 1130 et. I went to the mint website at 1153 et. I was immediately put into the waiting room. I waited until I was let in to shop. I went to the dime products and was not able to purchase the product. It had the REMIND ME button showing. No way they're out. I saw I was not logged in. I logged in, went back to the product page and the ADD TO CART button was showing. I was then able to make the purchase. My confirmation came in at 1221 et.

True story: I rarely pay for express shipping. But about 5 years ago, i scored a bunch of silver eagles that were very flippable and I had a customer but he wanted to submit and needed them quickly before the First Strike deadline so I upgraded the shipping. 3 days later, no shipping so I call. I had slow shipping orders that had already shipped. Customer service told me I paid for the type of shipping not express handling. Lol. I said, "WTF good is faster shipping with slower handling?" They didn't even apologize. It took another week before it let the facility. That was the last time I paid for upgraded shipping.

My experience with the Rev War quarters was an order of 2 each of the rolls, 2 each of both P and D bags. All 4 bags shipped but the 2 rolls are backordered. If in stock, your whole order should ship together.
