Are you sure that's the right coin? No cert # on the PCGS auction page. There is another 67 out there.
CAC worthy? I would answer YES!

If that’s a scratch, I doubt it would be graded 67. Stranger things have happened, though. The OP can’t afford us an in hand look, so it’s “worthy”; doesn’t mean it will get it.

I think it might be a scratch, as it looks to traverse part of star 12, something which a die crack wouldn’t typically do. So in the absence of that in hand inspection, I say not CAC worthy.

I could swear I saw and held that coin in my hand at an ANA show many years back. And I would also swear that same dealer also had the finest graded for the entire series at the time (MS69?) $5.00 Lib in the same case which was so incredible it almost looked fake.

I'm not seeing anything match to the Eliasberg photos with maybe one inconclusive item.
It also appears from the Eliasberg photos to have weaker stars than the rattler coin in the OP, though that could be lighting etc. There were no color photos in the 1982 sale nor any later public appearances or photos that I am aware of for the Eliasberg coin to get a better view. The photo posted by tradedollarnut above is the 1982 catalog pic and may be all there is of that coin.
The 1992 and 2005 sales on CoinFacts are one coin and definitely different than the Eliasberg or coin in original post. That coin also was sold raw in Auction '88 and said to be equal of Eliasberg.

According to Fuljenz' 1877-1907 Double Eagle book.... it's a relatively common date, but not in this condition. 5-figures once you get to MS-65. Among the best produced DEs from the SanFran Mint. But hard to find a coin which isn't bagmarked, esp. in the obverse fields.
There are 2 MS-67s (at time of publication) and one was obtained directly from the SanFran Mint by John Clapp Sr. and sold in 1982 as part of the Eliasberg Collection.
