psa graded case oversized for card inside case

I recently purchased a graded card and when it came i noticed the card inside the case would shift around do to the case size, i have about 50 cards in the set and this is the only card out of the 50 with a oversized case. does psa take back and re-case the card for free? and why would they or do they do that in the first place? its so easy to see the case is to big.

I could be wrong but I’ve read before that at times PSA would run out of the correct size slab and instead of waiting they would put cards in an oversized just to get things done and get the slab out of the door.

thank you its just a little frustrating to have expensive card that shift in case and can go from a psa 9 to a 6-7 because of damage. and you like the whole graded set to look uniformed.

You should be able to open a customer support ticket, send PSA a phote showing the oversized holder, and they will send you a mailing label and put the card in the correct sized slab

I have done this several times with mislabeled cards.

Given their present backlog, It might take a few months to get the card re-holdered.
