USPI Help with Double Variety

1944-S/S 50 Centavos with the Obverse of 1907-21.

I know of the Stack’s coin and one other possible 1944‑S/S with the 1907‑21 obverse.

Are there any more out there, so PCGS could treat this stacked variety separately?

Why is this coin referred to as an over-mintmark if it is only an s/s [should be rpm]?

That [comical] PCGS write-up sounds more like they are trying to sell it (rather than just describing it).

I've got the Allen catalog and the photo in it doesn't clearly show the over-mm/rpm. Somebody must be seeing something but I don't know what that might be.

So I have an old bank roll of 44s 50 centavos that I got from my beloved old B&M over 20 years ago. All superb gems for the most part. Got them graded with a mix of 65-67+ and sold a few to buddies wanting type coins. I went though them just know and about 25% are the old rev and about. Pile on the right is old / left is new. None of them are S/S

I’ve posted questions about this double‑variety combination in multiple Philippine coin collector groups on Facebook and haven’t seen a single example in response.

Are we really down to just two known surviving examples that aren’t sitting forgotten in a cigar box in Manila, or already melted, dumped, or lost in some other forgotten stash for good?

I've checked around a little online and have not found any clear images of the RPM. In order for people to locate/identify the coins, they need to know what the RPM looks like.

The second one I was told about is a 1944-S/S MS64. I’ve assumed it was PCGS.

Yes. Not sure if the 62 in CoinFacts the one Stack’s sold. It does look like a good example of the 1907-21 obv.
I’m not sure about the CoinFacts 63 or 64.

The obverse of the 1907-1921 variety shows the volcano lava lines flowing down the volcano sides . the new dies do not.
