These AI coin images are getting really good.
They may put me out of one of the jobs I do : graphic design.
Now if they can also output 3D relief surface data, that will put me out of another part of my job : sculpting.
PS:
I was working on this for a commissioned project. That project fell through. But that is actually a good thing, in a way, because I can now use this sculpt for one of my own products (not sure which one yet).:

The U.S. Mint is exploring AI as a collaborative tool to assist in coin design and manufacturing, aiming to reduce the time spent by artists and engravers while overcoming creative blocks. AI technology is being considered to generate 3D models and analyze design and metal movement challenges, blending technology with traditional craftsmanship.

AI and Design at the U.S. Mint
Design Assistance: AI is being explored to generate 3D models and assist in creating design variations based on historical data and trends, notes a LinkedIn post.
Technical Optimization: The Mint is looking into AI's potential for identifying "coinability" issues, such as identifying potential metal movement challenges, says this LinkedIn post.
Human-in-the-Loop: While AI is being explored, the Mint's primary design method still involves the Artistic Infusion Program (AIP), a group of professional human artists who work with staff to create new designs.

While AI is being researched as a tool to support the process, the creation and selection of designs for U.S. coins remains a human-driven process involving artists and officials.

Funny you should say that. I sent it to a friend of mine and he actually thought "Beyonce". So, it's clearly a Rohrschach test and it turns out you have a crush on Mariah Carey.

We can all be coin design artists now. The hard part is getting someone to actually make them. Although you could pretty easily hire them out as medals or tokens to a private Mint. Getting the U.S. Mint or another official Mint to make a coin is another matter. You'd have to get your design through CCAC or Fine Arts.
