First off the scan of the mj sucks. lol j/k second there is no way to tell from a scan if the card is a fake inless its a really crappy fake. I have owned 5 differnt kinds fake and real. You need the card in frount of you and you need a microscope. you look at the name on the front and you will see that all fakes are fuzzy. the real ones clean and sharp

fakes are easy to get there is a guy at this card show that is run every week that sells fake mjs and fake bird magic rcs

I can already tell just from the scan that it looks a little dot matrix-y... it's amazing that the card dealer you tried to sell it to didn't break out a jeweler's loupe to inspect it (or didn't have one... for shame

Actually they call that one a fake, counterfeit, bootleg, whatever.

The reprints are made by card companies and clearly state that they were printed in 2001 or whatever.

Those were made by an individual...knicks, been to Kinko's lately?

That is one of the lesser fakes but i doubt most novice collectors would catch on. I can spot it easily from the scan as I have some too. The colors on the back are to smooth, compare to a real 86 they look like more of a marble texture. Also you can look at the NBA logo ball in the bottom right corner and there are no basketball lines on it, this can be seen with the naked eye. The small flag on the Fleer logo on the front is the wrong shade of yellow. It matches the collor of the bar under the logo, on a real on it is a darker shade of yellow. Finally the card stock is usually different, they are more flimsy than the true 86 Fleers.

Mine are alot like yours, they appear to be from the same batch. I have seen some that are pretty high quality, but they can still be detected with the naked eye if you are knowledgable about the 86-87 Fleer set. Sorry I don't got a scan.
