I picked up this 1943 d/d rpm-3 anacs ms66 Lincoln cent because I like soapbox holders. I think they are cute.
I really didn’t look at the coin (i know I know I should have know better) and when I did I found it very difficult to see the D/D because it doesn't look like any of the pictures I have seen for a D/D.
I finally saw what I guess anacs determined to be the RPM, see picture. I am not sure they got this right.
Now I am confused and wonder if I over paid because it doesn't look like other D/D. Bid is $1800- for a ms66.
Any ideas on what the wholesale value should be for this coin?

Inconclusive -- The mm is in the correct location, but the mm doesn't have the appearance. A picture of a computer screen is not ideal.
VarietyVista has 22 different RPMS for this date:

Your RPM is labeled as RPM-3 on the holder, but it is actually RPM-009:

Hard to put a value on a non-cherrypicker's variety, but I would expect it to be relatively lower in value.
You do know there are different D/d varieties. The RPM-003 isn't the vFS-501 that you are looking at in the price guide.

Nor is the RPM-009, which is what the OP coin is.
I wouldn't pay more than the price of any other '43-D cent.

Omg
First:thank you for the quick responses.
Second: yes, I know the difference and I know my coin isn’t the one in the price guide but that’s all I saw. And I didn’t pay anything near that bid number.
Third: the radiation must be getting to me because I googled the coin but totally forgot to go to varietyvista which also happens to be a favorite.
Sorry, I should have done a better research job on my end before posting.
Thank you again for the comments
Good luck with the radiation! 👍
