    It's blurry, but it seems to be a real coin made into a piece of jewelry.

    I agree on both counts, especially the blurry part.

    It looks to me like it's been capped. If so, it will read heavy as a result of the metal from the cap.

    If there is a tiny hole on the reverse then it is a prank squirt toy (fashioned out of a coin). Most of these were crafted out of nickels.

    It appears to be sitting inside the shell of something else.

    I don't see that. I mean, it could be, but that would be hidden by the shell in which it resides. Might have just been mounted on a belt buckle or something like that.

    The photo is too blury to tell.
    And we are lacking details about the shell.

    Llamas and alpacas are camels. They aren't like camels, or related. They are camels. When was anyone going to tell me this?! How long had Bill Nye been holding out on us?
