Grading timing

It's been a while since I sent in coins to PCGS. How long do coins stay in encapsulation then shipped out. Regular level.

I think it varies a lot. I just sent three separate submissions to PCGS back in late January, a 5-coin US submission, a 2-coin crossover, and a 1-coin world submission. The world has been stuck in encapsulation for around 3-4 weeks and the US for around 2-3 weeks. The crossover passed through encapsulation real quick at around 2 days. Although all three submissions were TrueView which I think lengthens it a bit.

On a matter unrelated to the question at hand, both coins for the crossover did successfully cross! All three submissions were TrueView and the image below is the one coin from the crossover that currently has the TrueView image available. The crossover should arrive tomorrow for me so that's cool!

My experience with two current submissions (regular):

A month in grading. 2+ weeks in encapsulation so far.
