Hi guys - I’m about to embark on a new business project. Which will require a lot of time, energy, and focus to get it off the ground. I must be a glutton for punishment because I already have a successful business, and about to begin another one.
So for now, I’m going to put on hold, most if not all of my internet posting activity.
Best of luck to everyone, and I plan on being back, perhaps for this upcoming football season, or maybe not until around the 2027 football season, depending on how this venture goes.

i feel like i'm in the twilight zone with what has transpired the past few weeks. in addition to sports betting, i also play fantasy on DK. two weeks ago i had a guy in my lineup who withdrew on Thursday morning, and i didn't have a chance to check for any WDs before the tournament commenced. i ended up with 5 guys instead of 6. a lot has to go right to overcome that disadvantage. not surprisingly, i lost that matchup.
last week it happened again. because of what went down the week before, i checked my lineup about 30 minutes prior to the first group going off. everything was kosher. well, about 30 minutes before Jake Knapp's scheduled tee time, he withdrew. the tournament had already started and once again there was nothing i could do. i usually enter $5-20 contests, but i had decided to ratchet things up and play some dude for 100$. so i was moderately perturbed. i could not believe that i had chosen yet another player out of a massive field who withdrew for the second week in a row. you can usually count on one hand how many golfers do so and have a few fingers left over. it was once again 5 on 6, but a beautiful thing happened: all 5 of my guys made the cut, and the guy i played had 3 of his 6 guys miss it. that's a virtually guaranteed winning scenario, and it was for me. it felt so gratifying to win after getting screwed yet again.
and then today happened. i was at work and had a moment to check the scores. when i do that, i always start at the bottom, hoping that my guy(s) name(s) don't appear until i get to the top of the leaderboard. no Morikawa, no Morikawa, no Morikawa. i had gotten to the top 10 and still no CM. fifth place, still didn't see his name. at that point i started feeling giddy............"he may be leading the tournament." then i got to the very top. still no Morikawa. i went from elated to perplexed. i knew he had an early tee time and should have made the turn by then. so i went to the bottom once again and was going to slow down my scrolling this time. i figured i had hastily blown past this name. when i reached the bottom again, there it was.........WD - Collin Morikawa. i had missed it the first time. my heart sank. "please tell me he withdrew before he hit a shot..........please tell me he withdrew before he hit a shot......please tell me he withdrew before he hit a shot." when i caught wind of him withdrawing on his second hole, i felt like i was having an out-of-body experience. you know what they say about bad things.............they come in threes.
if picking guys to withdraw from a tournament was a prop bet, i'd create my own 1-900 number. i'm going to set aside a special object to smash into an indeterminate number of pieces if it happens again.
galaxy27 what did you think about Yellamaraju checking in 5th? His opening odds were 500-1 and down to 100-1 late in the event on Sunday. What a hit to have had him at a top 20 or top 5 or 10.
