Check this out. Think you have gambling problems?
Google: New Haven,CT police chief allegedly gambling bets of 4.5 million on online sites and embezzling $85,000.00 from the informant fund account. Allowed to retire with the charges
He can retire any time he wants, the question is will the Connecticut retirement board let him get his pension or not
If crimes were committed while on duty or using his position to assist in his crime there is a good chance he will not get it

Here's a fun fact that the guy probably didn't realize at the time. The IRS doesn't care where you get your money from, as long as you pay taxes on it. Say for example the 4.5 million dollars was all stolen money in various ways. The IRS is going to send him a tax bill, plus penalty and interest, exactly the same as if he had earned the money legally.

Congratulations on your win.
Successful transactions:Tookybandit. "Everyone is equal, some are more equal than others".
Shane can thank the announcers if he loses. With a 3 stroke lead 20 minutes ago they just about had him winning, and pointed out no bogeys. Right on cue Shane double bogeys and hits the water twice on the bear trap.
Echavarria just bought a new house. Be a nice win for him.

that sentence made me chuckle
golf can be so incredibly brutal. Lowry stepped on the bear trap and it took his foot off. not the first time a golfer has been completely humbled at the most inopportune time, and it won't be the last.
thanks for the shout-out brother. glad Mitchell slid inside for you. on to Arnie's tourney.......it's all you
In Nascar today Shane Van Gisbergen finished second to coincidentally match the second place finish of Shane Lowery in golf. 2 Shane's.
And Tyler Reddick was the winner in the race. Winning the first 3 races to start the season, a Nascar record. Michael Jordan team owner is on a roll.

How does OKC possibly lose tonight? The Mavericks aren't that good of a team anyway, and tonight 3 of their top 4 starters are out, including their star rookie Cooper Flagg.
Plus SGA is now back starting his second game off the injury layoff. I normally don't like star players in their second game back off an injury, because the injury may be a bit sore from the effort in the previous game. But ya never know for sure.
A SGA points under is tempting, especially because if it's a blowout, he may not get his usual minutes. The O/U is 30.5
The -16.5 on OKC looks like a ML gift. A few problems though. One is sometimes this season dam OKC has a bad habit of playing down to their competition, and not covering the spread. Second, without going into details, OKC doesn't have in this game some of the parameters I like to play.
I think this spread in theory should be at least -25, but who the yell knows for sure. Ten minutes before game time and I'm still not sure what to do. I do have some fat profit boosts available, however the line has to be at least -200 for it to work. So a ML wager on OKC won't activate the profit boost, I'd have to play the spread.
I'll likely either do a max-bet ML on OKC, chicken feed profit, but it helps produce better profit boost. Or I'll just pass on the game.
Very glad I passed on that OKC game. I was thinking that Dallas might catch OKC napping in the first quarter, and I'd sneak away with a nice first quarter winner bet. Well that would have worked out quite poorly.
Sometimes the best bets are those you don't make. 😎
Perhaps I shouldn't be posting this but I will. I came within a whisker of throwing a nickel on Koepka after his dreadful opening round. The T20 odds were a delicious 20-1. For a number of reasons, it seemed to me those odds were greatly in the bettor's favor. What affected me is that I was struggling at the time with a few live game wagers going on, and didn't want to put more money out there. Sort of like the good habits I've developed over the years with the stock market and poker, of when you think you're beat or are cold, don't throw more money on it.
These developed good habits have served me very well so far with sports betting. But occasionally it doesn't work out, as I would have turned that nickel into $100. That sure would have been nice. However believe it or not, I'm not hissed off about it, all part of the process in my view of trying to make money in the long run at this game.
Lost back to back $20 NBA PRA Bets but hit for $200 at the casino last night, I took out $500 and was down to my last $100 and ripped a winner on roulette to get me in the good
I'm still doing moderately well in the NBA this season. But did much better last season. Seems like the more I know about the NBA, the worse I get. LOL
One thing for sure, even if it's around only a minute to go in the game, I don't consider any lead of low double digits or less to be safe.

Tip for the roulette table. Never play number 37 - it very rarely hits.
Haha that's funny, I hit on 31
I grid bombed 31 through 36 and hit
I rarely play roulette but one night I wasn’t having much luck and decided to play it. When I bet numbers it was always 5 for Brett or 16 for Len Dawson. That night I decided on Dawson and 16 hit twice in a row.😛
On the other hand last Saturday I had a $10 free play ticket and sometimes use it on roulette. I put it on black because believe it or not the dealer told me black had hit 9 times in a row. Red hit. I should have known better.

Put whatever ya want on it. Microscopic odds, but helps increase the profit boosts, and comps on future bets.
@BLUEJAYWAY
we had 4 out of 5 make it to the weekend
Berger - T13
Koepka - T27
Smalley - T38
Mitchell - T38
Meissner - CUT
3 offered profit boosts on tonight's NBA games, and I don't like any of them.
Almost have to play something though. Coin flips, but better than 50/50 odds with the boosts.
Celtics are laying 17.5 against Brooklyn
Celts will probably cover that but that type of game should be a live bet
Completely agree, for a variety of reasons.
Glad Brooks recovered to keep you alive. I will need 2 in top 20 for profit. Hopefully with limited ties.
I did say I was going to take February off but I got bored and also got a fickle finger so put a few in here and there

Iowa State ML
Lakers ML
Lakers with an 18 point lead at halftime.
But it's the NBA - I don't feel safe. 😟
End of 3rd Q - Lakers with a 27 point lead.
I still don't feel safe. Thinking about the cash-out option at a slight loss. 😨
You are in.
Quinnipiac ML
Tulane +15.5
Indiana State +3.5
La Salle +10.5

I came in with 1 winning ticket. Got little more than half my bet back.
On to Arnies next week.
I hear there is an investigation as to how Galaxy won that bet? 😉

Don't want to get into any bad habits involving uncertainty. I mean sports betting is uncertain enough to begin with, without adding to it. LOL

Milwaukee up 16 in the 3rd and they lose by 23

look at the second and third scores.............Milwaukee allowed Chicago to score 27 unanswered points
the NBA destroys my brain on a nightly basis
Wow - I didn't think to notice that. Almost impossible, except of course in the NBA.
From Wiki after Googling it:
Most consecutive unanswered points in a game. 30-0 run by the Dallas Mavericks vs. the Oklahoma City Thunder on December 2, 2023 .
