Trying to get a handle on a fair price...
I have been offered some high prices on this coin. I just got it back from PCGS.. It has one very tiny chop mark on the reverse that kept it from grading a straight AU. I have seen pricing all the way up to $85K for this coin ... Maybe you guys can price and maybe why .. I have buyers (2) ready to buy. I just want a fair price for them and for me.. TKs

The last two examples of this specific type (dragon with "spectacle eyes"/WS-0609) in PCGS AU Details holders have brought hammers of $7,000 and $5,500, so $8,400 and $6,600 all-in after the buyer's fee, respectively. As such, somewhere in that all-in range is where the market is right now. There have certainly been much stronger prices for these in the past as you cite, but that would require a straight grade high AU or better. Also, the market isn't where it was immediately post-COVID. While it is rebounding from a dip a few years back, it's not nearly as strong as its height. At least it's in a PCGS holder, as prices are less for comparably-graded NGC coins in the vintage Chinese series.
