Yes Lowery, Brooks, etc, but how to play them? Which positions?
Wouldn't mind placing some coin on a player versus player type bet, if anyone sees anything of value. I called it when I saw it, that I thought Galaxy's Hideki play against Henley was a good value, and it hit easily. I would have played it, but my book didn't offer it.

Sorry I misconstrued your comment. In all fairness to me, I am in the first or second stage of dementia. And when I told the doctor that I was trying to beat sports betting, he immediately changed it to fifth stage. π
I'm not sure what it is, but since beginning my sports betting project last season, I've been involved in around 15 or 20, OT games of football and basketball. With the dog winning the game the majority of the time.
That's too small of a sampling to make any definitive conclusions. However UCLA winning is another example, as they were a +6.5 dog at home.
GRPβ¦. I canβt believe Illinois let them drive the whole length of the floor and get a layup for the game winner. π±
If Illinois had won it would have meant an extra $145 in winnings for me but I was still happy. Anytime you can walk out of a casino with a profit itβs a victory.

For some reason, I sorta like this player versus player bet that Galaxy hit on last week. Might study this list and give it a go. If I decide on a play, I'll post it, and then I'd recommend betting your house, car, and pets against it. π
Well i just ran thru them, and didn't see any value compared to the value of Galaxy's bet last week. When factoring in the juice, they're all basically coin flips, and I don't play coin flips.
Doing well again tonight at NCAA hoops. One ML game in the bag, and two other games, both spread dogs, looking good. So why the hell am I wandering to the NBA?
Only because I've got a nice profit boost, so I gotta play something. Don't even like this game that much.
So they play weekly tournaments that start Thursday and end in Sunday?
that is correct. so unlike almost every other bet that ends in hours, these top 5, 10 and 20 golf wagers we're placing last 4 days. if you follow them intently, it's torture. so many ups and downs. things are constantly changing over the course of 4 days. if it's a matchups bet (one guy versus another), there's always a chance it could be sliced in half (two days) if one guy makes the cut and one guy doesn't.........like my Matsuyama bet last weekend. the cut takes place on Fridays after the 2nd round. otherwise, you have to wait until the dust settles on Sunday to see if your guy finished in the top 5, 10, 20, etc.........or, if it's a matchups bet, wait and see if he finished higher in the tournament than the guy he was matched up against.

apparently i had forgotten what it's like to drop money on NBA games. FAFO. tonight i paid $55 for sheer entertainment, and i got my money's worth and then some.
i tied the Spurs, Rockets and Lakers together per my post above. Spurs won easily, as they should have. the Rockets game was sheer lunacy. Houston played like crap for 2 1/2 quarters. with 5:04 left in the 3rd, the Rockets were down 19. with 1:33 left in the 3rd, Houston was winning the game. read that again. it's not a typo. 5:04, down 19. less than 4 minutes later, they were ahead. Houston went on to win. finally, galaxy on the right side of an NBA miracle!
oh wait. one leg to go. surely LeBron, Luka & Co. can beat the Suns without their top 2 scorers, right? in the middle of the 3rd, LA was up 12. coasting to victory and a winning bet for galaxy! with 6 minutes left in the game, Phoenix was up 12. with 30 seconds left, the game was tied. with one second remaining, Phoenix hit a 3 and won. up 12, down 12, game tied, lose on last-second shot, lose bet.
can someone please tell me why i decided to do something so stupid, knowing full well just how stupid it was before i did it? i legit wonder if there is anyone out there who regularly bets on NBA games and has absolutely lost it at some point.

Sports betting - tough way to make a living. π
I don't know how anyone can really do it, like survive on sports betting for a living
It's hard to figure out if anyone is making money at sports betting, because there are so many fraudsters out there, claiming they are winning, in particular those who hawk their sports betting services for a subscription fee. It always makes me laugh, but not in a funny way, when their picks, sooner or later are doomed to lose money. However they never offer the subscriber a refund. Only offer say a week's worth of picks for free. Now why on this green earth, would anyone continue to play a losing tout's picks, even if the picks were for free?
This was a long time ago, I recall the great Johnny Unitas became a spokesperson for some sports betting tout. I've long forgotten the name of it. I'm presuming that Unitas made some poor business decisions and needed the money. But I guess many gamblers figured if a great Hall of Famer like Unitas was standing behind it, then the tout's claims of winning must be legit.
I had abstained from engaging with the NBA and slowly regained my sanity in the process. then, I figuratively got stoned and took a deep dive into the treacherous waters once again, and immediately lost it......once again. it is the most ****** up sport to bet on. no other sport comes close. the volatility will force you to seek professional help. medium-to-large leads mean next to nothing. you literally have not won an NBA bet until there is no time left in the 4th quarter.
how the **** does a team full of professional players who are trying cough up a 19-point lead in 3 1/2 minutes?
I have a theory that the sports betting gods enjoy tormenting us. There's not much else to do up there for eternity, other than fly around on a cloud, so they get playful.
Now you'll please excuse me, the nurse at the home is about to serve my lunch. Friday's dessert is rice pudding, and I always look forward to that. Then I will meticulously attempt to handicap basketball.

I placed my first wager in several months last Saturday and it turned into a pretty bad beat.
First off Iβm not that upset about it because I had an overall profit of $370 at the casino in spite of my losing bet because of good luck at the tables.
My bet was a 3 team college parlay, Alabama over (I forgot who they played but Bama won), then Duke over Michigan, winner, then Illinois over UCLA. So Illinois led 33-10 and lost in overtime. Bad beat. π©
