Are US 90% commemorative coins really only worth scrap price?
Just doesn’t seem to be much interest in them anymore even in original box with certificate.
I’m pondering just cashing in what I have and buying bullion.

    I have long been able to buy any amount at melt value or sometimes lower when I've found old listings in dealer inventory. MS 70 certified coins carry a premium but I don't think there's much demand for most of the issues.

    There are a lot of collectors in the old school commemoratives including me.

    Maybe 1950's or older. Some have low mintages and harder to find.

    I collect the modern commemoratives if they aren't ones I already have. The problem is the price of silver today, which has curtailed my acquisitions. But I am picking them up for less than melt periodically.

    I figured as much. Probably just add them to a stack.
    I have the Women in Military (West Point) unc., WWII 50 years unc, and the Korean War proof.
