I have seen these counterfeits before, just not in these current not-PCGS slabs. Barcode is the same for both and does not scan...

yea these are definitely concerning, but at least our hosts recently implemented a new security feature where the plastic is now more brittle, and the slabs seem to spiderweb fracture for no apparent reason soon after encapsulation. Should help us out moving forward....

The "1796" is roughly the same counterfeit die pair that we discussed in a thread last week.
The fake in last week's thread had simulated wear and damage and was in a real PCGS slab (oops).
Your Feb 2025 article (which references your 2022 and 2020 articles) on this family of fakes (based on the 1795 far left obv) was linked in the thread.

Ahhh yes….the elusive 4 prong gasket. Only found in fake PGCS slabs.
