JAMIEE CAT
(July 14, 2012 - February 17, 2026)
It is with a very sad, very heavy heart that I must inform everyone that my bestest friend, bestest pal, and bestest little buddy in the whole world passed away today at the age of 13 1/2 human years or 70 in cat years. I had hoped he still had a few more good years left in him but sadly that was not to be. :,( I honestly couldn't have asked for a better kitty and I will miss him (as well as his predecessor Tweetie Cat) so, so much :,(
Since this song mentions her best friend Jamiee, I thought it'd make a nice tribute :,( (this was the only copy of the video I could find; obviously only the first and last verses really fit):

Introducing my new bestest friend and bestest pal and bestest little buddy in the whole world, Wynonna Cat!
It was one of my former high school classmates on Facebook who introduced me to this wonderful little bundle of joy and surprisingly she took to me right away! She even lets me rub her tummy (VERY unusual for a cat to actually freely allow this) and she is curled up next to me resting her chin and one of her paws on my left arm as I'm typing this! I really do hope I do indeed give off a really good vibe regarding cats as I apparently have done with this one!
And how did I arrive at her name? Well last month I discovered upon FINALLY getting back in touch with my niece on Facebook, I have a nine year old grandniece (who also really liked and "took to me" right away) named Naomi so in her honor, I named the cat Wynonna. I'm sure it's obvious to all of you how the names go together. The fact that she has the same colors as Snoopy (I've always been a big Peanuts fan and I got all their Complete Peanuts, Peanuts Every Sunday, several of the anniversary ones, both 1980 and 1990 Charlie Brown's 'Cyclopedia) is also a neat coincidence and those of you who know me know I'm all about neat little coincidences!
And YES, just like her predecessor Jamiee Cat, if someone came to my apt and offered me a million dollars cash in exchange for her, I'd say without a moments hesitation thanks...but NO thanks! So I do indeed think it's now time for love to build a new bridge between me and my darling four legged furry little princess!

Yes I had a close close relationship with my great companion Dookie and she passed several years ago at the age of 16. Just recently another cat entered my life... I feel your loss and pain but hopefully something will enter your life to replace Jamiee...
I don't know you but I saw your headline and knew ... I'm sorry for your loss and Saturn and Neptune my two feline brothers send their sympathy as well. As do Tiger, Maggie, Venus, Apollo, Spook, Guinevere, Peewee, and Prissy. (I'm old but have always had cats in pairs.) It never gets any easier. Kind regards, George
Sorry for your loss. I’m a cat lover, too. We have two (2) cats age 13.5 and 11.5 years old.
Our sympathies to you on your loss. We went through this twice. It's like losing a child. Best to you going forward. Keep the good memories,ones that you will always have. They will keep you going.

Well duh, don't you know that dogs have owners/masters and cats have staff/servants? And cats are the only species in this whole world to have successfully domesticated humans...and have been doing so since the days of Ancient Egypt at least.

Yes, my wife passed away 4 1/2 years ago and she was the one back in 2010 who introduced me to cats (before then I only liked the kind of Cats that play basketball!) and so Jamiee was like my last living link to her. :,(

I have 3 elderly cats myself, Kato who turns 19 in May, Jasmine who turns 18 also in May and Beachball who is 16.
Kato (Bubba) is my best buddy , don’t know what will happen when his time comes.

We have 3 cats and 2 dogs right now. The dogs put up with me most of the time, the cats tolerate me sometimes.

We have two littermates about to turn 5 in April (Bing and Cleo). I can't imagen not having them. I hope you can find another fury friend in time.

And the best kind is man's REAL best friend! They are so cute and cuddly and off the charts adorable! And as an introvert I very much appreciate how peaceful and quiet and graceful! Wynonna (my cat, not the singer) is sitting on my right side as I'm typing this! And my late wife thought my previous cat Jamiee was "obsessed" with me (she said it was because he would follow me "prancing")!
So yeah, so much for cats being allegedly "independent"!

I'm especially happy that she (and my grandniece) really took a liking to me right away! And I'm sure if there are any fellow cat parents here you know how exceptionally rare it is for a cat to let you and enjoy having their tummy rubbed, especially so soon!
