  APMEX - I think that explains it. They have a history of creating representative images to for the coin being sold rather than photographing the actual coin and slab.

  The photo at NGC seems to match the coin in the OP holder, except the size of the coin. No idea why anyone (even APMEX) would edit the photo this way.
