(LordM) Image drop: my ENTIRE US coin collection as of February 2026

Here's a quick image drop of my US coins as of early February, 2026.
I am an eclectic collector and do a little bit of everything: Ancient, Medieval, World, and US. As such, this is only the United States portion of my collection (excluding my holed coin collection and metal detector finds). It is presently far from complete as a type set, but I still think it is a pretty good sampling.
Now that the gold portion of it is essentially complete (as far as I'm going to be able to go, anyway), I'll be turning back to focus more on the minor denominations that I lack to make this a proper type set.
Here are the four main categories of my (certified) primary collection:
Ancient & Medieval Coins (to 1600 AD)
The Twelve Caesars of Rome
World Coins (1601-present)
United States Coins
My holed coin collection and my old metal detector finds album are currently not imaged.
One challenge that I have is that my Ancients & World coins compete with the US side for my limited budget. (There are so many nice coins and so few dollars to spend on them, right?) But I have fun being a "jack of all trades" and will continue walking that path.
Here we go. The coins are listed chronologically, by date. I know this display style looks a bit wonky to those of you who are more accustomed to seeing US coins sorted by denomination and type. I use the chronological sorting in my other non-US categories, so I use it here, too, for consistency across my entire collection. I'm just used to displaying them that way. Maybe when this is more complete as a type set, I'll display them in the more traditional "denomination & type" order.
Thanks for looking! I hope to hear what some of your favorites are. ![]()

That's a vert sharp collection !
Some of the beautiful uncirculated and proof pieces stand out, but the circulated stuff all seems to have a matched appearance.
Nice job !
Absolutely fantastic. That deployment medal is special! Peace Roy

Beautiful. I’d say it takes more than a limited budget to acquire those examples. Really nice.
Thanks. That is a sentimental piece I just had to include in the collection.
Here is Granddaddy in WW2 and also in later life, as I knew him.

I think you have some nice coins and I also think that over the last year you seem to be obsessed with showing everything you have. You jammed up page one with the “Here’s Mine” series, why not just design a webpage with a link in your sigline??

OK. Guilty as charged. Yes, I do love sharing my coins, but after all, isn't that what forums like this are for?
Jamming up the forums a while back with all those single-coin posts over a couple of days was not the best timing, I will admit. I will also confess that I am an unabashed attention seeker and that I get bored sometimes. But I try not to be too annoying about it, usually, and the feedback I get is mostly positive.
As to a website, I lack the technical skills necessary to build one, so I have used this forum and others to post the coins. But one is now under construction by my much more tech-savvy sister and her husband (best birthday present she could've given me). These image dumps will actually help me when I get to work on that soon.
Does that mean that when I finally have a website I'll cease to be a nuisance with all the coin posts?
Nahh, probably not. But when the website is launched, I'll do more of my work on that, rather than on the forums.

Oh- and one more point about that series of posts that jammed up Page 1 on the US Coins forum for a while and earned me some vinegar and venom (some deservedly so, some not):
The stock title to each of those threads was, "Here's my (x) - post yours!"
Those were not just about sharing MY coins. They were also inviting group participation.
Much as the current "Collaborative Virtual 7070" thread is doing (and nobody is complaining about that one, thankfully.)

LordM: that is truly amazing! I really love the way you have displayed them chronologically. I scrolled through them on my phone and felt an intense sense of the history unfolding in front of my eyes. The coins are beautiful individually, but this is definitely a situation of the sum is greater than the parts. Thanks for sharing this!
Really nice cent.
Absolutely awesome! Thanks for sharing!
The 51-O trime is stellar! Extremely hard to find with eye appeal!
Congrats! Beautiful specimans.

Nice post. The coins are beautiful and your grandfather shares similarities with and reminds me of my father who also was born in 1916 and rose to become Captain in the Army during WWII.

Nice collection Lord Marcovan.
Thanks for sharing. Never mind the crabs, they just jealous.
My favorite of the coins posted? The 1907 $2-1/2.
You collect like I collect. One rule. You collect what you like and are happy to collect what you like and can afford.

You’re not jamming up the forum and please don’t stop posting, website or no website.
It’s interesting to hear you claim a lack of being “tech savvy” because you helped me almost 25 years ago when I first joined the forum. I needed an image resized to fit the icon guidelines and no other member would help. You got the job done in a snap.
About the current “Virtual Type Set”, along with forum member @Solid we accomplished the same task more than 20 years ago. It was done a little differently but engaged a wide swath of the forum members posting images of their coins.
I wish I had a link or remembered the thread title, it would be interesting to note how much better imaging has become.

Thank god you aren’t posting 44 different threads.
I think you have a nice diverse collection and I like the 1836 $5 the best of several nice coins.

Where's your 1915 Barber half?
Oh, hi, Keets. Yesterday I was wondering if it was you, based on the tone of criticism in your post, but wasn’t sure it was you under your new “Maywood” ID. Why the name change?
I’ve always tried to have some image editing capability, but could never do Photoshop. (I’ve become moderately proficient with Lunapic lately.).
Web design? Fuhgeddaboutit! I find it interesting that folks so often credit me with more tech knowledge than I actually have. That used to happen a lot at work because I was proficient with our property management software. Then the company got new software last fall and left me utterly clueless.

Mea culpa on the bygone multiple threads issue from last year. Old news. I’ve already apologized for that faux pas multiple times in multiple places.
Thanks.

I decided I’d get a higher grade, more common date for a type example, rather than a key/semi-key in F15. So I swapped it for a partial set of silver Washingtons (under melt). Sold those near the peak of the recent silver spike, and did rather well (that financed my FUN purchases).
But I haven’t replaced the Barber half yet. I will, when the right opportunity presents itself.
I need to work on all three Barber types. Now that the gold is pretty much finished and I’m going back to focus on the smaller denominations, I’ll be doing that, when funds allow.

Thanks. That one shot a beam of luster-light out from a dealer case at the 2025 FUN show, which caught my eye from ten feet away. Sure, it's a common date, but a real lusterbomb. It's also the only OGH I presently own.

Outstanding! A real collection to be proud of! Thanks for letting us enjoy it with you. Cheers, karl
Great collection, Rob, I love it. I think you and I have similar tastes in many respects, and it seems like we've been playing in some of the same zones of the pool. I've drawn a lot of inspiration from your collection(s) over the years, especially in regard to the general principle of having a concise set of really deserving coins -- which don't necessarily have to be in ultra high grade or super-duper expensive, but are all very attractive and original instances of whatever they are when compared to others at the grade or price point.
Holy catfish!!! ♥️

Very nice quality of coins indeed. You have come a long way! Very interesting group as well.
Very nice and I like the chronological arrangement!
Oh no- not at all! I am mediocre at best when it comes to coin photography. But since I’m aware of my own shortcomings on that front, I always insist on having professional imaging done on my coins- either PCGS TrueViews, NGC Photovision, or the best quality dealer photos I can grab. I then take those and edit them into my standard template you see above, for consistency’s sake.

Thanks for the presentation. V nick and the Saint is to my liking.
The Miller Tennessee piece with the obverse hat is lacking your signature hat decorations.😀
I for one think you have a great set, thanks for sharing. Sometimes no matter what you post, you'll get feedback. Sometimes it's positive, sometimes negative. I feel you can hold your head held high for your accomplishment with this set. My only feedback is: Where's the Kennedy
Ray
Thanks. Been shopping for the Kennedy, and the modern nickel, dime, and quarter to go with it (I have the Lincoln Memorial cent). I want to fill the modern types with 1965 coins (my birthyear). So I've been shopping 1965 SMS coins on eBay and elsewhere for attractive ones that either have CAM contrast or nice toning, or both. Problem is, because I'm less interested in moderns, I tend to be too cheap to buy the really nice ones.
