ShimmerVision™ is definitely the way to go with early proofs! (Which I love too, BTW.) I remember you giving my proof 1847 Liberian cent the treatment. I might have to hire you to do some of my present pieces. PM me a quote, if you like. I could probably come up with 8-12 or so.

Should have been France or 2000 after @creg’s post. (Or France or 1900, since that's the date actually on his Paris medal.)
I don’t see how @MrSpud ’s “1900-1965” American (PA) medal follows that. Seems to be an invalid play?
Which means @Rule556’s 1965 quarter is also invalid (gorgeous though it is- that’s one of the nicer clads I’ve seen).
So let's get back on track. France or 1900 or 2000. I'll play from France.

Sorry if I had that rule wrongSorry, You are correct. I was going by where @creg said France or 2000, and did not notice at first that his medal actually said 1900 on it. Apologies for the confusion.
That means your post was valid, and so was @Rule556's 1965 quarter that followed it.
Which means I should have played 1965 or Washington (eagle back) quarter.
So here we go, hopefully back on track.

I’ll play off medal, so it’s 1840, France, or medal to the next player.
Don’t play off that “1990” on the slab label- that’s a catalog number, not a date. This is an 1840 medal struck for Napoleon’s Paris funeral. It is not a modern restrike.
Oh- it also has 1821 in Roman numerals (the year Napoleon died).
So you could play 1840 or 1821 or France or medal.

Looks like a misplay. Read the intro, folks! Needs to be either the same date OR the same type, not just same denomination.
Since it should have been 1847 or Seated Half Dime after @Ronsanderson ’s coin, I will repost the same coin I posted in the OP of this thread, more than 20 years ago, to get us back on track.
So it’s now 1842 or Seated Half Dime to the next poster.
PS- at least as a result of the mispost, we got to see that incredible ex-Norweb proof Bust half dime posted by @Coinbert. Wow!
