A while ago I asked about a few cards if I should get them graded or not. I got some excellent ideas on what to do and also an option I hadn't considered. I now found a '54 Mays and '55 Killebrew, I purchased quite a while ago. Back then, I really didn't know what I was doing and purchased these cards just on the fact they had great color and looked good, not really considering centering or condition....
My questions are: Should I get these two graded and what grade do you think I would get. Or would I be better off sending them to Greg Morris?

The Mays has a light crease from top to bottom. My third picture shows the crease from the G in Giants, down to his cap and to the bottom of the card.

The Killebrew has a bent corner and some paper loss on upper left side.

I'm mostly wondering if you think I'd get a little leeway with the cards looking good before they deduct for the flaws or does the flaws automatically knock the grades down....

    Cards with a crease max out at a 4 regardless how nice it is. So you'd be looking at a 2-3 I'd guess. Killebrew would get a 1 with the paper loss and pinhole.

    If selling the cards, I would grade the Mays, but not the Killebrew.

    The Mays will move faster if its graded and probably add some value (do the math - not sure what you paid for the card raw). Nice centering too.

    Not sure grading would help sell the Killebrew, as the paper loss and pinhole will impact demand.

    Any damage to a card is what is considered firstly and stands out right away.

    Many thanks for the groups' opinions on the grades and if I should send a few cards in for grading. Sure wish this forum and the group was around back when I started getting interested in collecting in '87 (when the Twins won the World Series!). The mistakes I made back then makes me realize I should have gotten advice from more than one or two "dealers".
    Just about every time I read this forum, I pick up something new!
