I wouldn’t touch it with a 10 foot poll.

No, I've been selling. Haven't bought gold since it crossed 3k a year ago.

The only people that aren’t buying (at the levels) are collectors. A new generation will come in and start buying it. The world progresses….

If a person wanted to buy now, there are a number of items where the premium has evaporated, e.g., proof ASEs. Buying items like this would give downside protection; but, this still looks like an up market to me.

    There is ONE Saudi sovereign
( 0.2354 ) oz AGW that I would grab at the current price point.

    On the silver front...
Brokered a trade and added 2 British Silver Britannias for a 40 mile round trip.
    A 2023 Queen and a 2023 King.
    Figured I did ok.

This post is so outdated. Gold is over $5500 now. :D

I'm still in the market for uncirculated rolls of walkers and common solid date rolls of Morgan's. That kind of stuff is being shook loose and showing up at coin shops.

I would pony up for a specific double eagle I am seeking for my set. I would probably buy a non-Colombian exposition commem for spot if I collected that series. I would probably sell something to supplement the purchase of the gold though.

P.S. that 1850 double eagle of yours is close to what I am looking for , right date just wrong holder and grade (Sorry I'm picky!!)

It's all about what the people want...

No. I was working on a set of French 20-franc gold coins, but no purchases for several months now. I’m priced out.

No purchases, except for numismatic items valued more by scarcity rather than metal content, since 2018. I did purchase a $20 St. Gaudens in March 2024 for my 27 Centuries Set for $3,500 - now I am glad I did.

Presently I am selling silver and standing pat on accumulated gold.
