I bought a 2024 Right to Assemble proof coin for $2345 directly from the mint earlier today. Anyone else notice or take advantage of this deal? There were intermittently one or two of these First Amendment coins that were showing as available over the past couple days. This is roughly $100 under yesterday's Pt spot at the close. I didn't really want any more Pt exposure and I actually drove to a nearby big bullion store today in hopes of selling a couple bars to make room for the new addition....lol, they are closed until 2 Jan and now I have this new coin purchase confirmed.

This was discussed in this thread pretty actively: https://forums.collectors.com/discussion/comment/14024014
I took advantage and bought 9oz. I think we'll see $3k platinum or close to it next week. I hope to flip these to fund my purchase of 2026 bullion and for some credit card points.
Plat and Pall are lagging gold and silver but I think they could outperform. Platinum supplies are low and scarcer than gold. Plat should be $8k or more right now IMO, but all metals are headed much higher.

I wish the price would have waited for me to get another ounce of platinum :D

    So much for $1000 getting it… :p

I think this las move up is almost done consolidating. Could see a breakout in the next day or two. Would probably take us to the $3300 price point.

    Now over $2600 new ATH

I don't mind divulging my retirement funds allocation.

For a couple of years now, equal 30% in each of PTLM, SILJ and GDX.

Platinum was trading at $1300 Canadian $$ when I started PTLM.

It's been a very good couple of years.

This BS about having 5% in PMs for safety and security is what I said...total BS.

Now's the time (or a year or two earlier), to be invested at the very least 50% in PMs and mining stocks.

The Canadian tax man will be very happy when I start cashing out.

I 100% agree with you, yet this is the BS that the financial industry has been dishing out for years.

Don't disagree; BUT, as one's net worth increases, one needs diversification.

    I also agree.

But I feel I am diversified with Au, Ag and PT.

You see I feel I'm in the right sector for investing (hard assets) so why not cover 'the big three'.

Financial advisers love the word 'diversification' as it's their reason for having you waste 70% of your investments in comatose sectors.

Well, I didnt sell a big chunk at much lower prices to buy solar panels, if that's what you mean.
