It is getting increasingly difficult to know how to put a value on some of the older poured Engelhard ingots. This last October-November I tried to assign a collector premium on harder to find examples like the one pictured here. I thought $2,500 was realistic when melt for a kilo was around $1,500. With a melt value today of around $3,500 I wonder if collector premiums on scarcer examples will shrink or disappear altogether.

I’ve wondered the same with these new prices It’s a completely different market now!

With silver over $100 lots of old pour survivors will likely appear for sale only to become part of a 1000 oz good delivery bar.
