I bought this lot because of the Peace. $23.50 for the lot all included..20 bucks for a 26 Peace and some medals I know nothing about.





I soaked in acetone mineral spirited mix and rinsed, then a E zest bath.. For way to long.. But it at least looks like a Peace dollar now.

    No, I don't know for sure but I think copper and bronze maybe..

    I wonder about the mineral spirits. We use them at work.
    I am not trying to zing you but why not use straight acetone. I would be afraid the mineral spirits would leave some residue.

    I found this when I was doing some cleanup and tried it on some really crusty coins and it seemed to take a lot of it off.
    I wouldn't use it on anything I was trying to get graded. I do spend a good amount of time rinsing.

    @Elvis1 I cannot offer alot of advice on many things on this board but on this I can. Do yourself a favor and get some straight acetone. Mineral spirits will leave residue where acetone will not. We cant be sure what will happen as time passes.
