This set is unreal, yeah it has a 1933 double eagle. The few coins I have in this set this collections blows them away. 1857-S $20 Central America in 67+ CAC - good lord.

Elite is an appropriate moniker for this set and as a handle for the collector who assembled same.

    An amazing set of coins.

It looks like you missed this thread from last May. It has all the coins and some stories.

    Amazing group of coins!

But I'm curious about something: If no coin is shown next to a listed coin, does that mean that he doesn't have it? If so, I'm surprised at a few of the missing ones, which are pretty easy to get in high grades (assuming one has lots of money): 1955 DDO Lincoln cent; 1861-O Confederate issue half dollar; 1918/7-D buffalo nickel.

I do have seven of the listed coins, including the three I'm surprised aren't shown in his set; but he has MANY individual coins worth more than my entire collection (and none of the ones I have is in the same league as his copy).

    Remarkable!

Yes, some of the less rare coins are not in the set yet.
The reason is explained on page 3 of the linked thread:

If the coin is super rare, like only 10 in existent, I'm not super selective and would buy a low grade if it comes up. If it's a pretty common coin and shows up often, I will be more selective and only buy high grades and with CAC sticker. Either way, I will look into upgrading the coin if a better one shows up. I have upgraded quite a few 100g coins over the past years.

I would love to see the coins displayed at a major show.

It’s an amazing set. I read his posts on Mycollect.com and daydream about having a bigger budget. 😂
