With silver on the rise, I figured that I should buy this gem, especially, since it has full bell lines and is in an OBH. I got it for $55 below retail. I think Franklins are currently undervalued. This is only my third Franklin, but I intend to put a complete set together, eventually.

I think your off to a good start with that one
Agree, undervalued. Nice example to build around.
Very nice S mint FBL.
Congratulations.
That’s what caught my eye as well, the luster just glows!
Nice luster indeed.

Let me know if you wanna add two more below retail.
Nice looking ‘54-S. I too have picked up a few of these recently, but not really in my collecting sphere. They can grow on you, I guess. Don’t want to hijack your post, but there are some of my recent purchases.

Vitual album sorta speaks 🙂

Those are very nice!
My strategy is to buy FBL, for the issues that don’t have an enormous premium for them and to try to stay in the MS 65 to 66 range.

I really like Franklins and I think it's a good set to collect because it can be completed easily for a (relatively) reasonable price. I've already got three full sets (circulated whitman, AU/BU dansco, and MS64 or better slabbed). I'm also a handful of coins away from completing a FBL set, but the 53-S is near impossible and will have to wait
