Registration not perfect on 1971 Topps Joe Namath
Picked up a 1971 Joe Namath off ebay. Paid $125, you can view it if you would like. Card is really nice except the registration is off a tad. I reviewed some other that have been graded by PSA and a lot of them don't have great registration. anyone have any experience with slightly off registration when grading. I would like to get a 7.5 on it.
your opinions would be appreciated.

Registration unless way off seems not to be taking into account by PSA even today with the stricter grading standards.
I looked at it. I wouldn't expect better than 6.5, it's very blurry.
Both right corners show more than a little white.
Nice looking card.
Good luck, but I also don't think it will get any higher than a 6.5.
so in person it looks crisp, very bright colors. a 6.5 would be ok, i'm hoping for a 7.5, but I will take a 6.5 or 7. Thanks guys.
In the early 2000s I went in to a friends shop. He handed me a 82 traded Ripken and asked me what was wrong with it. It was a PSA 9. One of the first PSA cards I ever looked at. It looked minty to me. I told him I thought it was a really nice Ripken. He complained that it was a 9. I looked at it again and told him that the registration was off on the red layer. Maybe that's why they gave it a 9. He looked sick to his stomach. I don't know where the card came from.
Good luck!
Sometimes dark bordered cards look worse when scanned.
This example of '71 Topps Broadway Joe has always been good for a laugh. I purchased a complete raw set off eBay many years ago, mostly NM-Mt quality, but somehow this replacement snuck in. I decided not to have it graded.
