Yes, if they found some Early Silver Commems laying around (1936 and earlier preferred) or some bags of SLQ's or Walkers would be great. The older the better.

the question is how many dealers are paying full spot price if you want to sell these coins at a profit?
Some believe Silver spot price should be closer to $200 and will definitely be over $100 soon.
Time will tell. Worst case, you paid the same price for this coin when spot Silver was below $30. If you were a buyer then, you should definitely be a buyer now!

The buyer question is what will a dealer charge you today to buy this ASE not what you can sell it for today. We are not buying today to sell it today.

You could buy prior years from dealers for less.
It is a question of why you are buying it? Do you normally buy 10 proof eagles?
Are you speculating on bullion? Then it is too expensive (for now). You could have bought more ounces in a different format.
Are you speculating on numismatic appeal? They didn't sell out.
The price is fine if you want to own the coin. It's not a great deal as a bullion play.

I think they can read. And so can all the people that didn't buy them at the same price.
You should stop asking questions. You don't want opinions contrary to yours. Then again, it seems like you lack the confidence to do anything unless you can find someone willing to do the same thing.
They are 100x as many people that didn't buy them. There are also probably a many people that SOLD their proof eagles for $8 less than you just paid for one. There's always the other side of the trade. Time will tell.
If bullion goes up, good for you. But (sorry) better for me because I bought my ounces this week for less than you.
I'm sorry that you don't understand that point.

I made a profit on raw 1990s and 2000s ASEs that I sold yesterday. Did I beat inflation? There are better investments, but the silver will always be silver, and they’re very pretty.

And "pretty" or "interesting" is always the best reason to buy. My whole collection is full of "pretty" or "interesting" and most of it isn't worth a damn. But I love it for what it is.

I don't think the ASE suddenly sold out, I think they are doing exactly as their notice said and temporarily taking them down, as they re evaluate pricing. I think they will be back up in the next week or so. I considered buying a couple 2024 uncirculated, but the extra charge for shipping, as the new year has kicked in to re establish free loyalty shipping kept me from it.
Comments
The uncirculated ASE's are sold out now, according to the website. Proof still available.
Edit: Whoops. In the time it took to post, they went to unavailable. Morgans and Peace still there.
So , I took a chance....... Columbus did as well !!

I was going by what was said. I hadn't actually checked the price on ASE's. I'll sit on what 90% I have.
Never have bought bullion.
do you like unmarked .999 silver?
https://www.usmint.gov/presidential-coins-medals/
those are $90 each and are made on ase blanks
It's amazing how many more people want $90 silver than ever wanted $50 silver. LOL.
