Rethinking PCGS post on encapsulated coins grades
A few months back I angrily posted on the grades I had received from PCGS for my 2023 Reverse proof Morgan and Peace dollar. After awhile I had to come clean. I think the grades were spot on. I got a PR68 on the Morgan because i touched it , it looked good to me thru a 30X but truth is I TOUCHED IT. The Peace dollar came back a PR69 which it probably is. Next time I'm going to leave it in the capsule straight from the mint. Next up US mint 2025 250th US Navy silver proof and 2025 250th US Marine corps silver proof. Any suggestions or ideas for the best chance of getting PR70 ?

Yes! buy them graded.

Don't worry about the guilt. Touching a coin does not preclude it from grading a 70, but mishandling it can do so. It is what it is and good luck next time.

I have alot of graded coins but it's kind of cool sending it in and seeing what grade comes back
