    Not bad for probably next two years. You might not be happy if it means they don't sign Hoerner after 2026 and move Shaw to 2B. If there even is a 2027 season.

    As a Brewer fan I would have preferred a destination other than Chicago.

    Jealous of what.
    For a player that to get that much money he needs to be on the field more often and I would rather give the money to the young and up and coming stars.

    The Red Sox will have a 3rd baseman on the field on opening day and it will be a much cheaper one than Bregman would have been!

    way too much money. glad Boston did not sign for that. at this point, Bregman is good for about 20 HR, 75 RBI. that will be most likely decrease by the end of the 5 year contract.

    I sure wish we would have paid up for Alonso though.

    George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.

    By logical calculations Bregman’s power numbers will adjust to Wrigley Field weather conditions. The wind will destroy what once landed in the Crawford Boxes or banged up against the Green Monster. I like the idea that he could be a run producing gap hitter at home. His defense is solid. Good swap for losing Tucker, who would have cost more.

    70 mil is deferred

    Supposedly the Red Sox offered him 165 mil with more deferrals that would be paid out over decades yes decades lol. Could have had a Bregman day to go along with Bonilla or how every you spell it day for annual payments

    I was referring to the numerous articles and the superfluous online commentary from Red Sox fans regarding their "disappointment" in losing Bregman.

    I understand the concept of "rejecting rejection". The Red Sox front-office was intent on signing Bregman and failed - so I suspect they're disappointed.

    Jealousy was my provocative reach, but that was more so for Cubs fans as I expect everyone to correctly infer! Here's a game to help develop that perception. ;)
